Does it work with FSX?Thanks
Your joking right? re-read what Ryan said or better still just click on the link. Whats so great about that sim is it doesn't use the FSX platform.

Ryan I bought the A-10 but their install instructions are somewhat lacking. Do I need to download all 4 files? Then what?Thks
Hi Richard. Its easy to install. Yes there are 3 or 4 files if I remember. First there is a smaller setup. then there is the 3 larger files. 1.7 GB each i think. Once you have all 4 files downloaded, run the setup and thats it. Jeez with all the people on here using A10 we should just make our own squad while waiting for the NGX!Jack Colwill
We will not be locking any threads for people who don't like to read through forum threads. Sorry, but this is the nature of a forum. If you are time challenged or otherwise frustrated reading through a forum thread, then stick with the first post of the thread and you'll be on top of most 'official' announcements. Any official comments will be on the first post of the thread. If we lock the thread, then there will be no replies, comments or questions from our visitors. If there are no questions comments or replies from our visitors, then there will be no need for any additional comments from PMDG anyway, right? If the forum banter has you feeling overwhelmed, we do offer some easy alternatives:We have a YouTube Channel you can subscribe to and you will be notified via email when there is an update. You can also join us on our Facebook Page which will also notify you by email, if you choose, when there is an official update, or you can just pop on daily like the other half billion people on Facebook. Any updates from PMDG will appear on your wall if you "like" our page. From Facebook, we direct our subscribers to this forum when there is an update here, and there is also some exclusive content there as well. You can also visit our Home Page, but this does not get updated as often, but you'll definitely see a release notification there when the time comes.
Here is a little tip that users may or may not be aware of. If you are strapped for time and you want official word and to weed out a lot of the conversation choose the PMDG staffs user name i.e Tabs and click on topics or posts and you will see all of he "official" replies. I sometimes do this on the fly but I eventually read everything that's posted because I am interested.

Hi Rob. Yes they (Natural Point) has put out drivers that are 64bit compatible so it does work in the 64bit DCS A10. Awesome sim btw. Don't know why anyone wastes their time with military attack/fighters in FS when they have DCS. Its the PMDG of military aircraft. Jack Colwill
I think VRS has done an incredible job with their F/A-18 within the confines of FSX. Their TacPac addon that's coming out looks like it's going to be a revolution in actually allowing combat in FSX too. DCS is awesome, but people shouldn't forget about the work that VRS is doing in FSX either - get both!

Yes, download all 4 files (I actually used the torrent option, it's very fast and automatically downloads all 4) and then just run the Setup.exe as admin.

Just heading back to ORBX scenery. How many of you here fly around New Zealand? Apparently ORBX are FTXing New Zealand soon. If its anything like their australian addons, it should be fantastic!

I live in New Zealand and do most of my flights around this area. A New Zealand company called Vector Land Class Link has covered New Zealand in full and i must say it adds a new dimension to flying around New Zealand. Check it out.

Eh? Nah... Wellington is a piece of cake! Try Queenstown or Milford Sound for a challenge.

I never knew you lived Tucson. I was born and raised in Tucson. Lived there from '72 to '00. Went to Canyon del Oro HS and then U of A. I miss the Tucson winters, but not the 115 degree summers where its so hot your steering wheel almost melts if you dont keep your window cracked, lol.Sean Campbell

What a small world. Back in my day (I graduated high school in '90) our main rival was Amphi. That was when the infamous Bates brothers (Michael, Mario, and Marion) went to school at Amphi. Michael Bates ended up playing football and running track at the U of A, then later wound up winning a bronze medal in 1992 Barcelona Olympics and played for the Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers. His brother Mario also ended up in the NFL playing for the Cardinals and Saints. I had the unfortunate task of trying to tackle him a few times when I was a playing safety and also got smoked by him when I ran track, lol. He was like a 25 year old man playing against a bunch of 16 to 18 year olds :( Just recently I found out the the guy who was our best running back at CDO at the time, moved to Phoenix after graduation and was killed in a car wreck in 2003 on the 101 freeway.Of note, I saw that Alex Flanagan NBC Sports Reporter & NFL NetworkAnchor and Reporter is a graduate of Salpoint as well as John Fina who played for the Buffalo Bills. Its funny, I just looked up my HS to see if there were any notable graduates of CDO and found out that the NFL ref Ed Hochuli and Texas Rangers Ian Kinsler both graduated from CDO as well. I never knew that.Sean Campbell
