Externalities and the NGX

Featured Replies

I know this is a very touchy topic on these forums but does anyone know if the 737 will be released relatively soon. I say that only because I was thinking about getting a payware plane to use if the 737 is going to be a month or so. Im not trying to squeeza date or a range but is there at least three months lee way so I don't buy it then the next day the 737 comes out.
We have absolutely no idea when the Ngx will release, it hasn't entered beta yet, and that will likely take a few weeks, so I'm guessing it's at minimum, 6 weeks away.

I would go ahead and buy the other payware. I just bought the Ariane 737-700ER, excellent product!! I would recommend it to anyone waiting for the NGX.

I am sure the NGX will probably be just as good, but we will probably be waiting a lot longer for it.

just as good? :( I'm sure there are some knees knocking over at A____e pending the release of the NGX. :(

PMDG j41, 747-400x, 747-8i/f, NGX.......Finally!!!!

Upon release will both the download and disk versions be available ?
The disk versions are done by Aerosoft. They are the only ones who know for sure when it will be available and it will almost definitely be after PMDG makes their release.

I had sausage and toast for breakfast today.Tomorrow I won't be.When the rain stops I shall be doing a spot of gardening.
The rain stopped but I decided against the gardening - I played on my 360 instead.I was wrong on both the above counts - I did have sausage and toast for breakfast again today. It was nice and I liked it.

I'm still trying to get up to speed with the A-10. Good God at this rate I will be in training well after the NGX is released.

I think it was Ryan who mentioned that @PMDG may stop doing the boxed versions, due to costs etc etc etc etc

Don't ever recall saying that. There will be a boxed NGX - when though, I don't know. If you want it when it comes out, the best thing to do is just buy the download version and burn it to a CD - exact same thing pretty much as the boxed version.

Thing I like about boxed versions is that you don't have to worry about online activation ???I am not sure how many times I tried sorting out FSX and only having to reinstall the PMDG products many times. After an ex amount of installs they no longer work. Then it's a bit of a pain having to notify PMDG staff about it.,Rick

I would love to buy boxed versions just to have the case and everything, but not willing to wait for it to arrive while i know i could be flying the downloaded version, should sell the empty cases for our own burnt disks :)Or a downloadable insert :)

even the boxed version of the js41000 does need an online activation.Aerosoft plans also to protect there boxed products with their new aerosoft lauchner which also need to be activated over the internet.

Guys,Sorry, but I really can't allow promotion of a product that directly competes with the NGX here, those posts have been removed. I wouldn't expect them to allow promotion of the NGX on their forum either. (the one time I've posted there it was to defend our support system and response time from attacks by users there, not to promote our aircraft) If you want to compare the two aircraft, please take it to the Avsim General FSX forum.EDIT: please guys, this is not a topic I'm going to allow debated on here. Any further us vs. them type stuff is going to be deleted.
