February 28, 201115 yr How do you update the navdata ? If i can update it I'll buy the reality xp software.ThanksVicAs far as i'm aware, you can only update it to Airac Sep-Oct 09 because Garmin updated their trainer software with it. Details are in the reality xp forum.Steve Stephen Munn
February 28, 201115 yr Sounds like Real Air listen to their customers - great to see a bit of dust and grime modelled :( What amazing performance! I downloaded the update last night and immediately flew a few circuits at Oxford - my real-world "home base". Brakes on, max power and we were rotating just after the numbers! I want a real one :( Then flew down to Denham (where I learnt to fly) and tried an approach to RW24 (700m). Came to a full-stop in under half the runway length :Applause:Fantastic simulation. Well worth the money to upgrade or purchase new. Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre. HoneyComb Throttle & Flight System. February 28, 201115 yr One question: Why there isn't a yellow arc in the airspeed indicator?Interesting question. I don't actually know but we got feedback from Kingair and other pilots testing for us that in general the yellow arc is removed on PT6 engines and there's just a redline for max indicated. That's the way it is so we emulated it. It also shows in various pictures we've seen of PT6 engined aircraft, though a small minority seem to retain the arc.Regards,Rob - RealAir Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
February 28, 201115 yr Is it possible to get the update from the publisher "Simmarket" ? _____________________________ Regards Rainer -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Win 7 (64Bit OS) I7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz, 8 GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz , 1250 MB NVidia 570 GTX Phantom

Only piston aircraft have a "yellow arc" where you have a VNE significantly higher than VNO which is for operation in smooth air only (and frankly not a good idea in any aircraft). The simple answer is the max operating speed (VNO) is the never exceed (VNE) in turboprop aircraft so the end of the green arc is it. Understand that aerodynamically the onset of flutter is related to true airspeed not indicated, turboprops operate at generally higher altitudes than piston aircraft (the fuel burns at lower altitudes relative to their speed can make them very inefficient). The difference between indicated airspeed and true airspeed start to really become a factor at those higher altitudes. February 28, 201115 yr Nope, you can update it to a late 2010 now... you'll have to check the forum thoughThat "back door" into Jeppesen's data was highly illegal and violated the DMCA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act). I know how much simmers would like free access to this expensive data but understand that single post put Reality XP and Flight1 in grave danger of no longer existing for anyone. Find a way to get Garmin and Jeppesen to agree on one or two cycles back to provide access for simmers to data that is not for real aircraft use and you might have a viable answer. All ends up being a moot point when FSX itself doesn't have the fixes, waypoints and updated navdata to correlate with. February 28, 201115 yr ???? It's for personal useage and flight simulation....I don't see an issue with it.YOU might not, but Jeppesen's legal department would walk all over a "little" company like Flight1 and RXP leaving the simming community crying and it wouldn't bother them one bit. That "back door" was stealing proprietory information from Jeppesen and if you don't think they would take it seriously you are very wrong! I would love to see a "solution" that allowed the simming community to have access to this information and not pay the prices the aviation community has to. The attitude that we are just a bunch of poor simmers and it wasn't hurting anybody though isn't going to cut it in their corporate world. Stealing is stealing no matter how you try to justify it! February 28, 201115 yr Well you missed my edit.... I wasn't aware of that DMCA... that's interesting actually.Good to know!I saw you pulled your post after I responded. I've known you a long time Ryan and your a good person and a contributing part of this simming community. I don't think many simmers understood the implications that slipping behind and accessing that data could potentially mean. February 28, 201115 yr I guess it didn't even cross my mind... which is odd because I pay for the Navigraph updates too.
