If you take a look at your Wilco account you will see there is version 1.0b available for download. But the file size is the same as v1.0!So the question is: What are the changes in comparison to v1.0?Patric

Yes and it is only for the FS2004 version, FSX will follow soon but I too am mighty upset with the upgrade product. I do not get the smooth curvy flightpath as seen in the screens and there are a host of other issues mentioned here....Navigraph was a surprise but thats my mistake for not reading up enough. So have actually spent 27 Euros for an upgard that does not work as advertised.Wilco should be ashamed of itself for taking its customers for a ride. I am not buying another product from them ever. In fact they should refund me back for selling a buggy product.I am from India and a big A320 fan.Pity, will have to wait for another A320 study sim.M.

Version 1.0b is available for FSX too! (at least the upgrade version Vol.1 Deluxe)Patric

I did buy the upgrade V2.I can't keep the throttle in CL it keeps jumping forth and back. So the plane is unflyable for me. I have Hotas Cougar. I did try to find someone who had similar problems on the net. Not possible. Now I have written to Wilco. I have a lot of planes from wilco. The 737 pic and airbus was the planes that acctually worked. So now things are a little bit shaky. Wonder how they will reply? I dont think I have received anything with the upgrade. And I don't fly 2d it's VCs. So where is the hud? And I think the radar should be there in the VC as well, eventhough the said only in the 2d.I have 777, a380, legacy, not impressive and the old vol 1. This is difficult for Wilco appearently. But a forum of users should have been there provided by wilco, especially when the planes have all those problems. My greates experience are the new airbus sounds I have bought to the planes TSS a330 RR and the A340 CFM at last. This is great. But good Airbusses is apperantly wery difficult. :(

Can someone explain to me in non-salesperson speech why I should pay for this and not expect a free patch that at least half way fixes the old bus?

Because Wilco chooses not to follow that business model. It is their choice to do this and it is the customer's choice to follow it or not.

Hi!On my list of download, only ver1.0b for FS9 is listed :-( twice, actually...

JP, we might eventually see the light, mind. You do have a valid point about the usefulness of the HUD in real aviation. I was mainly questioning it in simulation. To be honest, I would have preferred to see it implemented in the VC rather than the 2D panel. For a very simple reason, VC can be zoomed in and out as well as panned. Sure will be cool to use for manual approach, full screen and all. It's just a matter of personal choice, and personal choices should be respected. Now waiting for FSLabs A320...

I posted earlier because when I installed Evolution on top of Airbus Series 2 the PFD in VC is black. I tried adjusting the brightness as recommended, but it does not work in VC for the PFD. It works in all other screens and if I enlarge the PFD in VC. The PFD quit displaying in VC after I installed Evolution Upgrade.Has anyone else experienced this? I am stumped. I have Windows 7 64 Bit, SP1 and SP2 Acceleration. My video card is NVIDIA GTS450.If I remove Evolution and Airbus Series 2 and reinstall Airbus Series 2 only; everything works fine.

on a lark, I tried the Vol.2... $25 down the drain. In FSX SP2/Acceleration, there are animation problems with the model.

JP,You have been so cool throughout this thread! Some people still won't get it no matter what is said, so at that point let them be in their own little worlds and move on!!
Thank you Jim.I intend to do just that, I just could not stand having one of themost useful things in Aviation called a "gimmick" .Airlines don't do gimmicks, they do cost-benefit.If they install a HUD system that alone should be an indication of its usefulness.

I understand it would look better in the VC, however, given the systemI can understand why it is just a 2D window, as you willfly by the HUD and vision only. You will not look down to the MIP, you will only use (and need) the HUD.Likewise, if you are doing a coupled approach or use the SP, the HUD is not really needed. As it is truly a handflyers aid.Having said that, I can imagine pilots using it to monitor as well. Thus, my point isn't so much about the implementation as it is aboutthe fact it is not a gimmick. It's a really useful piece of equipment that gives many advantages. And given it's real life use I find the implementation not at all bad,as it forces you to use it the way it is intended.cheers,JP.

Apparently V1.0b fixes a problem with installation on some Pc's, so I guess if it installed correctly on your machine then there is no need to download and install it.

I did install Evolution v 1b. I still have a black PFD in VC. There must be a problem with the program in Evolution. If I install Airbus Series 2 ( Only ) all is well.Until there is a solution then I have to accept that I waisted $29 for the Upgrade.

In the parlance of our times, Wilco is for noobs. I would call it a lesson learned and walk away. You can't fix something that is not intended for middle to advanced users.

It works fine on my system. Within the limits that were mentioned before. Shame on Wilco, though, for not informing its customers about the usefulness (or not) of ver 1.0b.
