April 26, 201115 yr Or just change your ISP Gary, get a 50MB connection or something. It's not going to be that hard to find in Alicante
April 26, 201115 yr Just to clarify, does the download version install an installer and a serial code, and doesn't install the plane itself? Sorry for the silly question I only have purchased boxed....ThanksYou downlaod the installer that installs he aircraft onto your system....you supply the serial code. April 26, 201115 yr No, that's a very recent option on the airplane and it's used solely for cockpit security monitoring - we have a long standing policy here of not modelling anything security related in our products.I would quibble that its "solely security related". I thought they had some exterior cameras too that could put video into the cockpit, which could be used for things like, say, avoiding hitting other aircraft on the ramp. April 26, 201115 yr You're a minor. The first amendment doesn't even apply to you. You don't even have any rights in the United States!I'm sorry,I really feel bad about bringing up the idiot, but I had to reply to this post as it's inaccurate and conveys a rather toxic concept. In the US minors may(unjustly) have less rights, but they certainly have most and the first amendment does apply to them. Their are numerous examples on the subject, but this is a good one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinker_v._Des_Moines_Independent_Community_School_DistrictOnce again, sorry to go off topic here, but I wanted to correct that information. On a more related note, did George or Ryan see my question about ACARS/extendability on the FMS?

Sheesh people. Let it GO. This thread isn't about constitutional rights or the amendments. For freaking sakes. AJ Pongress
April 26, 201115 yr Dazz, I would sure love to get a 50mb broadband if we could get it here. I am stuck with a 3.6 mb connection in the hills via a dongle which allows me to download at a rate of around 13-15 KBS if I am lucky.Ryan, thanks for the reply and answering the 'grief' bit for me. I hope no offence was taken - none meant. The way the internet runs over here, you may get a few ticket submissions. Gary Buss
April 26, 201115 yr Commercial Member So I came in to see what's new with the NGX and got a consitutional rights message? HA! lol! April 26, 201115 yr That would go great with the latest version of TAAATS!Cheers,Nick JonesHi, Is that an FS addon? Wow, after watching the Justplanes Air canada 777 DVD I have been obsessed with CPDLC. How does it work in Fs, can u use it with Radar contact? Nanjul J. Dakat

I thought they had some exterior cameras too that could put video into the cockpit, which could be used for things like, say, avoiding hitting other aircraft on the ramp.Pretty sure it does not have exterior views - large aircraft like the 777-300ER, A340-600, and A380 have that feature to aid with taxiing, but I don't think that's available on the NG. I don't think it's a Boeing-made system either, you switch the lower DU between the normal ENG/SYS displays and the camera with an auxiliary panel on the pedestal, it's just like an A/B switch. For some reason I thought it was an increasingly standard option/feature on transport craft. Would be cool to have an exterior view camera (if you can even do that) in the T7 when you guys get to it. April 27, 201115 yr Just wanted to add (hopefully) one last thing re 747's comments:Regarding "free speech", what he did in this forum is roughly equivalent to yelling "fire" in a crowded theater. It is NOT protected.(Sorry for the late comment. Yesterday morning someone was mowing the grass in our subdivision, and cut the Verizon FIOS line. Or, in the words of the Verizon tech, "shreaded it". They werent able to repair it until about an hour ago. I'm still shaking from my internet/TV withdrawal symptoms.) Ron Priever
April 27, 201115 yr Hey Ryan I asked this in another thread but it got missed, no problem But will the the ngx use the RTE format for flightplans? I noticed that my 747 uses RT2, not really sure what the difference is.
April 27, 201115 yr RT2 is the format for PMDG flight plans, RTE is FSX flight plans. If you look inside each and compare you will see different formats.
