I think RTE and RT2 are both PMDG flight plan formats. FSX flight plan is PLN, which PMDG aircrafts can also load.

They can. I've tried it, it works and it's in the manual, at least of the MD-11. When you enter the departure and arrival airports, the MD-11 logic searches correspondent flight plans at Flight Simulator X Files folder in My Documents too. The manual won't allow me to cut and paste the part that says it here. It says that after entering departure and arrival airport identifiers the flight plans are searched in both PMDG/FLIGHTPLANS folder and the folder FSX uses to store flight plans. Any FP in RTE, RT2 or PLN format are valid. It first searches RTE formats, then RT2, both at PMDG/FLIGHTPLANS folder, and if nothing is found, it tries to find PLN flight plans in FSX Files folder. The only 'issue' is that the FPs can't be in any sub-folder at FSX Files. You can find more informations in the MD-11 FMS Manual, page FMS.10.9, PMDG TIP.

Hi, Is that an FS addon? Wow, after watching the Justplanes Air canada 777 DVD I have been obsessed with CPDLC. How does it work in Fs, can u use it with Radar contact? 

It's not a FS addon. It's part of a piece of software that VATSIM controllers use in the Australian region. This component is for sending CPDLC messages to aircraft.Cheers,Nick Jones

You can find the 747 and J41 manuals here. I don't know if I this logic makes sense, but the J41 might have it because he was released after the MD-11.

I don't think the JS41 has that functionality. As far as I can tell, it only pulls from the PMDG FP folder.

Now its my turn to dream about the NGX. Dreamt that it was released today and that their servers were saturated! ....Mind you I also dreamt I was in the cast of Mad Men shooting an episode...soo...maybe not today then! XD

You are dreaming simple as that.PMDG produced and support is second to none but I personally find the "release" of this 737 is well.....Not for 1 second do I think this was deliberate misleading but now when its all but 1 day away from a month old can you say it was not misleading? "Now don't go planning any short-term vacations... You wouldn't want to miss release day! " (31 march)This strongly hints/suggests release was very close.O well I just wish we know what the real status was.

Actually I am thinking we could all benefit from a vacation. I don't think its good for the human soul to sit at our computers and hit the refresh button over and over. See my case studies results below: I have confirmed that constantly refreshing the forum page does not bring any new information on the NGX nor does it shorten the release date.
