PMDG 737 NGX Approach Checklist, please!

I don't know why I haven't posted in this thread yet but...Besides how great everything else is in those videos.... That is the greatest and most accurate engine soundset I have EVER heard in a flight sim bar none.. and I have been on plenty of 737-800 flights. Bravo :(

Last second kicks to straighten out the airplane is easier and more useful in smaller airplanes, but jets sized like the NG are usually not x-wind landed like that.
Understood, my primarily reason for commenting was the observation that it was clearly not done during this landing. No attempt to decrab.

Ryan, allow me a suggestion (for later, not now....). I (and certainly many others) would love to have a tutorial flight taking advantadge of the damage engine of the B737! I do have all PMDG previous products but had never tried to fly with damage enabled. I understand that damages do occur randomly but a few examples (how they show up, steps to control them, etc.)would certainly serve as a guide to learn this important aspect of the PMDG products! Thanks!
I'm not going to force people to deal with failures on their first flight in the plane... You have to remember that some users will have never bought a PMDG product before and these tutorials will be their first flights in the airplane. Maybe we'll do an Advanced Tutorial later that covers some abnormals situations, realistic ETOPS procedures, etc like that.

I'm in the process of starting my home cockpit project up, well I've been reading and reading for 2 years now. And been waiting for this 737 for 1½ years or so... With the quality of this product, waould I need any other simulations software? You know the ones that simulate all the backend systems? Like Project Magenta or Pro737 and the likes...I haven't bought any other software yet, but am almost ready to order FMC, MCP and EFIS Pro from FlyEngravity and the motorized throttle Quadrant from Revolution Simproducts... I know many other builders buy Project Magenta - but they have a large pricetag on that...
Hi!First of all, you do need to put your real name in your post in PMDG's forum.I would say it all depends on how realistic you want your home cockpit do be. Are you just going to have your a PC, maybe multiscreen for panels and overheadpanel and such or are you going to build a real 737 cockpit layout with lets say panels from flight deck solution? Cause if you are, i would suggest you to get Project magenta, and it's not that pricey compared to the hardware stuff in your build aslong as you are not going to use your system commercial. It also depends on the NGX's inputs and outputs. I'm guessing it will be hard to get every display from the NG to one screen each. The NGX must be able to give you output signals to light up annunciators on your panels via some sort of I/O Interface hardware. This is were PM systems and PM EFIS/MCP/FMS comes in handy, But IF using PM systems it wont incorporate the NGX systems, PM System is a standalone b737 system.

Today is the day the game has changed... finally I can see 6 pages of Wowing airsimmers, everybody is happy and looking into the bright future.Thank you PMDG for being so professional... Just recently I made (once again) the mistake of purchasing a product from other developer, just to see that it was a semi-finished-bug-full-rushed-out product which made me feel like I was robbed out of my 60$.Anyway, those videos show that the NGX has everything that I want from an FSX addon. And it looks like the long wait is coming to an end... Happy times!!!
Martin-Thanks for the compliment. This is precisely why we are holding this airplane right now for continued testing and refinement. We *could* release it over the weekend if we wanted- but we know there are things that still need tuning and testing, and we'd rather do that BEFORE you see it...Nobody wants this in your hands more than we do- but only if you can use it without having to worry it'll do something unexplainable. :( Almost there... not much longer!

Will NGX support Simlets (hardware from Opencockpits, GoFlight etc. etc.) for homecockpit builders ?? or is this up to the hardware developer to make the hardware support the NGX ??
Lief,We are going to provide an SDK that hardware manufacturers can use to create an interface between their hardware and our software. Some software may be compliant upon plug-in, but others may not...Either way- we don't care to be in the business of connecting hardware so we figured that providing a no-cost solution to the hardware manufacturers (along with instructions) would be the way to go. The only restriction we will place on them is that they cannot charge you for the interface...

A fair deal for you guys, us simmers, and hardware manufacturers imo :(

Well, it's great that this topic has been grown to a positive topic! It's also great that you give updates every day! Keep up the great work! Can't wait for the release day

Good to hear that. One question though: Some time ago you or Ryan (not sure) said that there will be some time befor release when Betatesters are allowed to show as many pictures as they want to. When will this be if we're so close to release already?

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

I've still got money in the "NGX or Duke Nukem" pool! :(
Nice! :D :DSeriously now, this is all great news. I'm really looking forward to give this plane a try. I've even cut back on my FSX flying the past two months because I'm not in the mood for any other plane :(

Apparently Duke Nukem is getting pretty close to release Robert. I'd watch out Big%20Grin.gifBest Regards

Best regards, happy flying,
