PMDG 737 NGX Approach Checklist, please!

Can someone from PMDG clarify this question (if they are at liberty to...)Will the airplane "save" its usage? For example, after landing in the rain and the autobrakes are set higher to ensure stopping will the brake temp and wear be saved for the next flight (and something that we have to worry about) or will it reset? Same with the hydraulic fluid, etc. I don't know if I have a preference lol but I have read speculation on this in several places in the forums and was wondering what the real answer is.Thanks
Personally I hope this is the case but right now, I do not want to know that, That is a really big feature and would be a great surprise to see on release day.Richard Glatter

I asked this a couple days ago and it went unanswered. I am betting they dont want to say as this may be a release day surprise.

Yeah that's probably true, hence the non response to this one either. Oh well, hope for the best!Regards

Best regards, happy flying,

Guys-It MOST likely that the 600/700 are not finished at this time as Jason hinted. Now based on that bit, and if you think about it logically it goes like this- The 600/700 are not yet completed and they are going to leave it unanswered until AFTER the 800( and maybe 900) release. Now, of course by that point you will already figured as much, and you wont throw a big ridiculous FIT all over the forums about it- until then. But as always- it wont matter what you think. It is what it is, and it will be released when its ready.

Hi Peter!Your interpretation of Jason's comments is not accurate. We will provide more information on the contents of the release shortly- but I wouldn't spend too much time fretting about them.We have been showing the 800 model because that is the primary testbed airplane since most of our technical advisors fly that airplane in their day-jobs.

Hopefully the 700 and 900 both come out on release day.

Hi Robert,Will the FMC database come with RNP approaches? Regards,

Adan Thornton

To start off, it's great that the end is near in a good way, but I have a couple of issues i have to settle in preperation for this marvel!1) First off, does anyone experience lower frame rates with the 747-400 with multiple monitors? If so is there anyway to correct this as I have an extremly good computer, and I'm also running FSX Booster.2) Secondly, have a Intel 2.93ghz processor 8mb cache, I can overclock it to 3.3Ghz but if i go any higher my sytem won't boot and I see other people getting it to around 4.0Ghz.3) I'm not totally sure this question can be answered but is the 737 NGX going to be more frame rate friendly than the MD-11 and 747-400, as the Level-D is very frame friendly.4) For the techy people, I have 16GB of RAM running at 2000Mhz, but in my BIOS I can only get it up to 1800Mhz due to the fact that I can't move the block multiplier any higher does that effect my performance.5)Do you think it is neccessary to upgrade my processor.6) How to fix choppy frame rates?Thank You So Much, Greg Selenski
1.) See number 22.) Google overclocking your exact processor, you probably don't know what you're doing.3.) They won't tell us yet.4.) No5.) No6.) Use the forum search feature. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of threads.

Ryan,I hope that there will be an option to have sounds like they should be when it comes to real deal. Sim-friendly "pumped up" sounds might interest some people, but not all of us :).Tero

Lief,We are going to provide an SDK that hardware manufacturers can use to create an interface between their hardware and our software. Some software may be compliant upon plug-in, but others may not...Either way- we don't care to be in the business of connecting hardware so we figured that providing a no-cost solution to the hardware manufacturers (along with instructions) would be the way to go. The only restriction we will place on them is that they cannot charge you for the interface...
Thanks for your reply Robert :-)Do you plan to release the SDK at the same time as the NGX or will it first come some time after ??

Best regards,

Roar sound?!?!? This sound eminates from the back of the engines so its impossible to get it in the cockpit - however you will hear that roar on the wing views and outside the aircraft round the back end!Tero - we have gone for realism with the sounds, thats all we are interested in. Cheers,

Leif-(Sorry for the mis-spelling in the original reply...)The *plan* is that the SDK will be ready for hardware developers on release day.If I were to place a bet, however- I'd say it'll be available 7-14 days later... Just a matter of prioritizing what we need to get the release out the door...

Going to be the best flight sim of all time and I simply can't wait, keep up the fantastic work pmdg!! Ps are you going to do any videos from outside the aircraft. Thanks stuart

Will the Sdk be backward compatible with older Pmdg products?
I guess not, obviously the sopftware is completely different and you need to to a SDK per each plane, as the data and buttons and all will be different.
