July 6, 201114 yr I second the vote for Toledo Express, given the layout and the presence of some Ohio ANG Falcons. Looks great, Shez! John G.
July 6, 201114 yr Author Of course it is KTOL....Interestingly it seems to work in FSX as well.Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
July 6, 201114 yr Moderator Of course it is KTOL....Interestingly it seems to work in FSX as well.ShezWow, I can't believe I guessed such an obscure airport as KTOL, maybe I should buy a lotto ticket, haha. Actually a funny store behind that airport for me. Most weekday evenings I go for a run between 11:30pm and 1:00am and needless to say there isn't much in the way of air traffic at that hour leaving KDFW which is the big hub near where I live. However, every night I would see what sounded like the same a/c going over headed northeast. After months of this I got curious and pulled up flightaware and found that it was an Air Transport International DC-8-70 (http://flightaware.com/live/flight/ATN819) that make a nightly run from DFW to TOL. It peaked my curosity enough to try the same flight and of course the default airport is nothing to look at. So, I decided to make a photoreal backdrop for the airport using SBuilderX and started aliging the taxiways, etc. I never had the idea to actually model anything since its beyond the scope of what I know, but I was going to use an object placer to try to "decorate" it more like the real place.I never thought anyone would touch it, so I am really glad your doing it and I can put my creation to rest before I waste anymore time it since yours will be a lot better than what I would have come up with :-)Glad to see it will work in FSX. I will surely give it a shot when it's released. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
July 6, 201114 yr Author This is an airport with plenty of infrastructure but too close to DTW and CLE, and the catchment area is small.Does have cargo activity with some foreign cargo carriers also in attendance. The Falcons are seen to do circuits all the time. Love their tight recovery turns to finals!I created this because my sis lives close by, so as a side project to the main SunSkyJet project I decided to recreate it. Should be out soon...Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"

When I lived in Tucson as a kid, in the summer I would drive over to KTUS around sundown and watch the ANG F-16's do the same. It was really fun watching them come in from a training run at night and do the mid-field break and circle around to land. I used to have a lot of fun watching them back in those days.
