It was going to be set, not necessarily announced. In all honesty, if I were Robert I wouldn't announce it until the day before, lol. Too many things can go wrong and this is a very cut throat crowd.

Agreed, some people are getting too centered on release dates. I'd be scared to say anything official- to protect my family, of course.

I don't believe any statements regarding a specific release date schedule being publicly announced were made by any representatives from PMDG. That is not they way they operate.Here is what Robert said " I am comfortable telling you that we will be setting a date on the calendar for release within the next couple of days." Notice he didn't say "announcing a date".

I think it will be released this coming up Saturday or Sunday.

Robert said that they'd be "putting a day on the calendar" and that they'd be setting the release day. This doesn't necessarily mean they'll be announcing it to us. It was only a few days ago that the started wide beta, so just be patient.

Guys-Lets not get to hung up on dates. Its pointless. PMDG is not the best at meeting targets anyway.You see, they focus on something far more important- quality. So its not wise for you to make haste over minor things like dates, timeframes etc. I gurantee it will prove to be futile.
