SimAir Contest is up - SimAir Challenge

true mad dog but VOX doesnt handle AI traffic as far I was told and Radar Contact is months behind version 5 which was going to add VFR to it. If REX is making an ATC addon and it has moved ahead of both of these competitors, then I'll buy it.Kyle

It is compatiable with other add-ons for FSX.BUT FSX is not required - does that totally confuse you now! Oh you can use it with FS9 also, but it isn't required either.
I think I have it figured out, their are games like Airline Sim for one (google it to find out more) where you run your own airline and you can compete with others, now it sounded great, but I always thought it would be amazing if they could somehow tie flight simulator into the game. Maby this is what Simair is, if so I would be in so fast. And just for a bonus guess I would also imagine it would also be subscription based. Am I getting close????

VoxATC does AI traffic - independently of FSX AI. Avsim forum here.Back to guessing... Crow bar? Concierge? Cutlery? Circular saw?

Is his email address similar to my user name, lol?I thought I may have figured it out, but since you said someone is close I am guessing no one has gotten it.

No one has gotten it yet. There are several guesses that are close, but one is particularly close.

Which one?Big%20Grin.gif

I wonder if its a standalone weather package. Rex was mostly textures with a weather engine that was bolted on but i wonder if SimAir is a full on weather enhancement engine, so can work standalone with FS9 or FSX. Other thing it might be could be a full blown flight planner which is standalone again but when combinred with Rex, like FSbuilt can calculate wind and also help renderr cloud and weather textures according to the weather en route.Just an idea anyway.Simulating the air ... :)

This is so simple and I can't believe no one has got it yet. It's a program the picks random phrases and you have to guess the phrase to win!! Now send me my check!!

Good guess but since he posted that fsx or fs9 were not necessarily required I doubt its going to be weather engine, I still say its going to be an airline management game.

I still say its going to be an airline management game.
That would be my guess with both the title and the idea that you can run it without a FS running.

It would be good even fantastic but I doubt it with the word 'extreme' featured in the phrase. I cannot imagine advertising an airline management game with the word extreme in it. If only I was wrong though... Alex

Ya but those REX guys like to add extreme to everything LOL.gif If you can use it with or without fsx or fs9 what could it be? I also noticed he never mentioned Xplane. Who knows, I guess we will find out soon enough.
