It's because the devs. had access to the SDK for their own use, do you think the SDK will be released to whom ever want it...:( Flight's addons will be downloaded from the store to your Flight, you won't have access to them like the old way, so unless MS let FSX addons to be sold in Flight's store I don't see how you will convert FSX addons to Flight, "ain't gonna" happen, Flight will be different, no more business as usual.You guys still under the impression that Flight will be business as usual (like FS9 or FSX was), if you don't want to invest in Flight addons...no problem, stay with FSX and enjoy what you already have, I don't see any problems with that.

We see the same system in the Apple app store. All apps are centralized and sold there, apple gets a cut, etc. but ultimately everyone can develop for it, including making free offerings for everyone. You're making some pretty large unsubstanciated claims.

Same as peoples saying that FSX addons will be Flight compatible.....depending on what side of the fence you are one may think that the other side is making large unsubstanciated claims.

ATM there is nothing to make one switch over to MSFLIGHT, the reasong being simple there are no details on this sim as yet except for the screen shots on the MSFLIGHT site which means actually nothing. Did hear about Flight may be ported to GFW and that would suck.

Trying to get beck to the OP, the thing that would make me switch right away would be that MS releases a good product that works well for my system from day one and as my system gets better or as add on's are released that may require more power then my computer and flight can grow together. There seems to be strong opinions about what Flight will be, what is will do, what it cant do, and such. I hope that Flight is not backwards comparable scenery wise. I do admit I was glad that FSX was able to use FS9 AI models but that had its negative side as well, textures dont work in DX10 preview mode, some propellers showed as black discs, and the day of the week issue needed to be adjusted. not big deal things but I am sure there will be a version of WOAI for Flight someday, just like there will be tons of free addons for scenery.

Why not? If you don't want to run FSX scenery under FLight, then you just don't. No big deal.But what if you do? What if the area of the World you're interested in is somewhat out of the way? Then if you can't load FSX scenery you will just have to wait 3 years or so to get Flight-specific scenery.Heck, Asia and South America are still way lacking in FSX scenery...Cheers,- jahman.
