July 27, 201114 yr Commercial Member Wonderful airplane, a lot of functionalities, but everything has no sense since to enjoy flying a plane one should have AT LEAST 40 fps, FIXED, with any scenery, traffic load and weather conditions. I know FSX is not at all able to do half of that, any be the computer power, so no 737 NGX for me, thanks. No heartache when reading 10 fps during landings, no heartache when stuttering during turns, no heartache when turning the EGPWS terrain on near mountains and getting a drastic decrease of the already low fps. No heartache when trying to switch weather radar on and getting nothing (the real airplane DOES have a weather radar)...Thank you, but I keep flying my Maddog 2010 smoothly in FS9 with MAXIMUM reality, keeping into account that a lot of the maximum reality also comes from smoothness of simulation...That's an awful lot of negative assumption there for a product you haven't seen. I've never seen the NGX get down to 10FPS and my system is quite similar to yours. I run with an external FPS limiter at 40 and I usually get that unless we're talking about some of the worst possible situations you can throw at FSX. (which will slow it down even with default airplanes)Our EGPWS has basically no performance hit - I'm not sure where you're getting that assumption from, we went to great lengths to optimize how it reads in the terrain data. The Maddog you mention does not have the best looking or performing VC (one of its only flaws honestly, we're huge fans of it otherwise) - you really do need to see what we've accomplished here with this product for yourself before you deem FS9 and 2D panels "maximum reality" I think... I'll be sticking with the core package since my VA flies mostly the -800.Backwards compatibility is just genius. The 70 dollars we pay now will go a long, long way past what we initially get for it. July 27, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi, great news and very reasnble price, thank you PMDG :)Regardging RSR mentioning that "PMDG 737NGX Base Package: $69.99* ETA: On/Before 04AUG11 Contains the 737-800/800WL, 737-900/900WL" is that means that the PMDG online store for NGX will be open before the 4th ? if yes I hope it can take the pressure. He means that we're expecting release either on or before the 4th. Please note his disclaimer though - if anything comes up in final testing, we will push it back. A few extra days to get something right is not going to matter when it's taken this long already...
