Wonderful airplane, a lot of functionalities, but everything has no sense since to enjoy flying a plane one should have AT LEAST 40 fps, FIXED, with any scenery, traffic load and weather conditions. I know FSX is not at all able to do half of that, any be the computer power, so no 737 NGX for me, thanks. No heartache when reading 10 fps during landings, no heartache when stuttering during turns, no heartache when turning the EGPWS terrain on near mountains and getting a drastic decrease of the already low fps. No heartache when trying to switch weather radar on and getting nothing (the real airplane DOES have a weather radar)...Thank you, but I keep flying my Maddog 2010 smoothly in FS9 with MAXIMUM reality, keeping into account that a lot of the maximum reality also comes from smoothness of simulation...
That's an awful lot of negative assumption there for a product you haven't seen. I've never seen the NGX get down to 10FPS and my system is quite similar to yours. I run with an external FPS limiter at 40 and I usually get that unless we're talking about some of the worst possible situations you can throw at FSX. (which will slow it down even with default airplanes)Our EGPWS has basically no performance hit - I'm not sure where you're getting that assumption from, we went to great lengths to optimize how it reads in the terrain data. The Maddog you mention does not have the best looking or performing VC (one of its only flaws honestly, we're huge fans of it otherwise) - you really do need to see what we've accomplished here with this product for yourself before you deem FS9 and 2D panels "maximum reality" I think...

Sorry to burst your bubble but I run an i7 rig and I get 30 frames on average running max sliders in DX10, Ultimate Terrain X (with both night lighting options turned on), Ground Environment X, REX2 textures Overdrive pack, and Active Sky Evolution while also running FSINN, EZDOK+TrackIR5, and my virtual airline's ACARs software.I can do this in the PMDG J41, PMDG 747, LDS 767, and iFly 737.So, not to say you aren't able to run higher settings, but don't make statements that "FSX is not at all able to do half that" because it just isn't true. Also, even 25 frames on average is extremely smooth and absolutely playable in turns, on approach, and landing.I flew over New York city today on a flight with all the above running...30 frames on average.Your problem isn't FSX, it's your hardware.@PMDGGreat pricing. I'll be sticking with the core package since my VA flies mostly the -800.Backwards compatibility is just genius. The 70 dollars we pay now will go a long, long way past what we initially get for it.

For once we get a break, I paid $120 odd AUD for the MD-11 due to our poor exchange rate at the time. :(

Hi, great news and very reasnble price, thank you PMDG :)Regardging RSR mentioning that "PMDG 737NGX Base Package: $69.99* ETA: On/Before 04AUG11 Contains the 737-800/800WL, 737-900/900WL" is that means that the PMDG online store for NGX will be open before the 4th ? if yes I hope it can take the pressure.
He means that we're expecting release either on or before the 4th. Please note his disclaimer though - if anything comes up in final testing, we will push it back. A few extra days to get something right is not going to matter when it's taken this long already...

I agree! I hope no-one will do torrent!!!!!!
Decent Price! However, a friend of mine laughed and called me an idiot when I told him I was going to buy it as he's going to torrent it. My response? ********** YOU, PMDG deserve credit for the amount of countless hours of effort they have put into this masterpiece! Anyone else who feels they want to follow that path should seriously consider not doing so!
Your bank (if i remember correctly) will change USD to €. So you only have to pay, thats allBig%20Grin.gifRegards,Lauri

i got the md11 a few years back at $79 which in the UK worked out at about £49. not sure on the excange rate atm (need to check that lol) so yea you pay in what ever currency you use and the bank will adjust it.

It's 69.99 USD, it will get changed automatically at the exhange rate at the time, so yeah €49.99 if the exhange rate stays the same.

You're paying whatever $69.99 is in your currency, so yeah I think you're getting a deal there. (and hey, our moronic government is about to default the country's debt, you might get it even lower!)

70 euro seems a fair price you can count on me. :(
Quick math says 70 USD is a little over 48 euros.
