We get that- but eventually many of them come around and we are glad to have them here!(Heck: Ryan got his start here in this forum as a nag- then he came around (proof that beatings work)- and eventually got interested in helping us test, then we offered him a slot helping to run the forum and tech support. July 27, 201114 yr For those that have followed PMDG's progress closely like I have, it's funny looking back at those moments of impatience, grief, humor, excitement, etc. It's been one hell of a ride.+1. I couldn't agree more. And now that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I feel comfortable saying it's definitely been worth it Best regards, happy flying, Wallace
July 27, 201114 yr I've often thought it would be humorous to create a Hall-of-shame where names of the frequent complainers and gripers could be on full display. I won't do it since it's not in very good taste, but it would probably make some folks think twice before spewing their crap. Stacey WeaverNot only is it of bad taste, it is usually a bannable offence on most forums. Johan Pettersen
July 27, 201114 yr Author Commercial Member Well We can start nagging about the 777 at least when the 737 ngx has come out, :( :( the main point of this tongue-in-cheek post was the timing.. A second after we know what we are getting the second we start asking on the next.I do not doubt I will be nagging in some way about the 777 on details, it is my favourite aircraft, but it's conduct and passion that need to be balanced :D.I am sure Robert will give a full statement on the next developments when we have the 737 base pack, much has been discussed! :D Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! July 27, 201114 yr Aha there's a new one right now. Thread 'Really?' go see the full extend of a kiddies rant!! Beware!!Laughable. Rgds - Sam Harridann
July 27, 201114 yr Well all I have to say is that if PMDG don't release the 777 by the end of December, I WON'T BUY IT!! (until it is released). Robert Yunque
July 28, 201114 yr What is a 777? j/k, who in their right mind is going to be concerned about the PMDG triple 7 when they have the NGX at their disposal?I remember a while back joking about the possibility of the NGX and the LevelD 757 coming out at the same time. That is the last thing I would want to happen, I want to dedicate as much time as possible to the NGX, there is a reason the big guys are type rated on only one aircraft at a time. I can't fathom memorizing workflows, performance figures, and systems methodologies for various aircraft while enjoying a study level aircraft of the NGX's magnitude. I'm guessing that it will be at least a year or more before I actually get bored by the NGX, I say to PMDG take your time with the T7. I flew long hauls in the PMDG MD-11/747 for the past 2 years, and had really tired of that method of simming. I'm longing for some down and dirty, busy short hauls in the NGX with TOPCAT,FS2CREW, and hopefully soon, PFPX providing me with a virtual copilot and dispatch crew! The exciting part of simming for me is the pre-flight planning, getting the numbers to work, and the takeoff and landing phases. In long hauls, things get boring very fast and for long stretches at a time, I don't imagine I'll have that issue with the NGX. A.J. Domingo
July 29, 201114 yr First post on the site, so first things first, Hi to everyone. Personally, I can't wait for PMDG to release the 777, I already have their 747 400X and two weeks ago bought their BAE Jetstream J 4100, and (trying very hard here to conceal my enthusiasm) both of those are just phenomenal, and although I love the longhaul flights in the 747, the BAE is perfect for just doing a short hop between Johannesburg and Pilanesberg flying manually (about 30 minutes). I don't doubt for one moment that the 737 NGX is a superb product, but for now, that little BAE is keeping me very happy on short routes, so I will choose to wait for the 777 instead of getting the NGX. Of course, that's what I say now, I'm pretty sure that if my wife just looks away for long enough, I will get both in the end. To the guys from PMDG, superb work, absolute joys to fly. Right, first post out of the way, I shall now try to keep my rookie excitement in check. RMyburgh R.
