And after PMDG B777 ?

Featured Replies

I personally think PMDG should leave the Airbus to SimLabs and focus on the Boeing line. After the 777s, the 787 or "real" 747-8i should be next in line. As much as I like the 747-8i, I think the 787 would have more mass apeal thus generate more revenue than anything else.

I give you that! But that's about it.Except, it has the best eqonomy count either and it is really quiet and it carries 800+pax /btw: why is everybody thinking bigger is better. The more pax in a plane, the more die in an accident!)But it still is damn ugly.My wife told me today she dislikes the A380 because it looks like the Super Guppy with windows.I think, she has a point there. Rolling%20Eyes.gifTo get on topic once again. I just reinstalled the Level-D 767x right after i posted my last post..and really NO!Can't stand the 2D and the ugly blurry textures.I really is time for a B767"NGX"! @Lukas_Mathijsen Actually how much sarcasm is in these lines? Are the Captain Sim B767 and 757 really that bad or are they really worth trying?I don't know them and would like an honest answer.I really liked their C-130 Hercules
For 757s, the Captain Sim is as good as there is, I like it, and its realisitic as far as autopilot, CDu and basic systems go, who needs a lightbulb to draw an amp? The 767 is liek teh real 767, just a fattened up 767. I like them, they're nice products, if you like teh C-130 you'll just love the 757

Thank you for the infos.I checked on the Captain Sim homepage and i was hooked...no, not by the 757/767 but the 707 Captain.Actually i am one of the few, admiring the golden age of flight. I do own A2A simulation's B377 and love it.Now this 707 will be my next purchase. (@Ryan/PMDG:Are you serious, Ryan, that there is no market for aircraft of that age?! I would buy ANY aircraft PMDG does from that age of flight!) If anyone brings up the idea, that we shouldn't discus Captain Sim or A2A products in a PMDG forum: Well, yes, but i think here is something in it for PMDG to learn/acknowledge as well:1. They are not the only company producing addons for FS9/FSX.2. If they keep up the standard as they just did, they will never suffer from competition (which i take for granted, as they simply define the standard with their products, though)3. Not everybody wants highest level simulation and wants to need a type rating himself to be able to fly in FSX (yes, those shouldn't look for PMDG products. Thus we discus Captain Sim Whistle.gif )4. They should stick to Boeing (there is enough work to do with their allready anounced lineup, anyway) and then the market for a PMDG-787"NGX" would be the biggest in FSX ever Hypnotized.gif ! ("NGX"-actually i adopted it and everybody uses it, too - but the NGX is simply the X added to the real name of the 737 NG...funny, this stands for a certain standard right now LOL.gif, Thus proof, how much PMDG hit the spot with their 737NGX!!!)

Right you are!LOL.gif Would be a tough call for PMDG not to FULLY simulate the 787 and simply drop the "wing breaking" in their simulation LOL.gif

PMDG please do a 787. Please, I will buy the minute it is released. FSX users really need a high quality 787. I also can't wait for the 777. Thanks, Aaron G.

I hope he was been sarcastic cos if you can't see what is wrong with it, oh ooo. Default planes are better.

Totally agree. Please read this review: http://www.avsim.com/pages/0909/Abacus/787.htm That Abacus 787 is just a default aircraft with a different external model. Thats all. (Thats what I think) Thanks, Aaron G.

It is worse than default! MS 737 is way better.

Totally agree. Shame PMDG couldn't put a 787 into their FSX development schedule. Would love it if the could do it after the 777.

I agree the C-130 is very good though the LCD engine display for the J models looks nothing like the actual displays. The CS 757 is certainly the best currently available for FSX, but the PSS 757 is much nicer (though FS9 only). As for functionality, the CS 757/767 CDU is not very realistic. It's more like the 747 CDU in fact. Maybe CS thought all Boeing FMS CDUs were alike. As for the 767 being a "fattened up 757" (I assume that's what you meant) you really should be more factual as a "reviewer for flightsim.com". There's a huge difference between a 757 and a 767, though the flightdecks are very similar. I bought the CS 767 out of curiosity in one of their sales, but compared to the Level D 767 it is decidedly second rate. The CS 767 VC is prettier and there is some nice eye candy, but in terms of systems depth there's no comparison. Regarding the so called subsidies to Airbus, these are loans which are repayable with interest. A subsidy would not need to be repaid. Aerospace is an international industry and to express blind favouritism on the basis of your own patriotism ignores this fact. The flightsim community is a worldwide audience, not just American. ======================================================== Back on topic, I'd like PMDG to consider a 717 but other than that I'll be happy with whatever they choose to produce. 717 will not sell well because it is classic, according to somebody at PMDG. I really want them to do a 787 after the 777. Everyone who wants a 787 after the 777 reply with a +1

Well, T7 will be released in 3-4 years, after that all cards are open, and its not unlikely that after T7 we get 787. But that is so far future (5-7years) and its not worth of thinking about it now.
