  1. After watching the GSX v3.0 teaser - I don't mind waiting for that integration.
  2. Well PMDG has never disappointed me. I have moved on from P3D to MSFS 2020. I will wait patiently for the Triple 7! I am 100% sure that there is no one on this planet that wants to release this aircraft faster than the PMDG Team - Believe me! However, if they feel it's not real - guess what? There isn't a thing on this anyone can do about that!
  3. Ooh Rah! The flag has been replaced by a paddle (...in Parris Island anyway)
  4. +1 Has this been fixed? As I fly only in cockpit, this product will be only useful to me if I can see the effects on AI. I am migrating to P3D v2.5 with UT2
  5. How about a discount for those that bought the 747-8i.
  6. Thank you! You wouldn't happen to have one for the 77L? Its really nice of you to share this. It will be a great factor to assist my move from OpusFSX to ASN since PFPX willnot support OpusFSX and I am not getting a subscription to their weather server ever.
  7. Mat2218 - do you mind making one for the 777-200LR? Please?
  8. Best response ever! :Applause:
  9. Cough cough - Flight Operations Engineers with MS degrees in some cases  not mechanics. Most of which make more than pilots.
  10. Talked to a Delta A330 captain about this a few years ago. dgraham and max are dead on to add to this, flight engineers board and have systems up and on ground power before the crew board. The idea being if there is an issue with the aircraft, they want to know sooner so they can try to fix it or swap it out as soon as possible. If you wait for passengers to board then find out there is an issue, airlines have to pay gate fees and not to mention the butterfly effect do to the delay. So a stitch in time saves nine. I use short start during all flights except for early morning flights in which I use the long sequence to what dgraham and max are simulating.
  11. Testing this issue now:KATL - FAOR at FL330 and no way point issue at 8x (both auto time compressions and sim rate). At this time compression ever so often my FSX Scenery refreshes - since I never exceed 4x I have never noticed this, is this normal? However, at 16x after FSX scenery refreshes, then I get horrible oscillations that are corrected by resetting the simrate to 1x or disabling auto simrate. If I had to guess, I wonder if this is a simrate sync issue at time compressions over 8x. I noticed after a refresh, the sim was no longer displaying wind direction on my main display.
  12. Very Interesting! I would also suggest taking a look at your USB connections too. I remember during a LIMC KATL flight while my 77L was en-route over the Atlantic on Autopilot, I banged my arm on the desk knocking the aircraft into some crazy death spiral. I recovered at FL100 but my FSPassanger cargo were not to happy and my oil pressure and hydraulics were shot to the point where finally my engines gave out and I had to kill the flight. I also have TacPack installed so that may have also been a factor in addition to having "stress can damage engine" activated.
  13. I use PFPX in addition to Topcat and OpusFSX as my weather app. Since PFPX and OpusFSX share the same data source I know the data weather should be identical. For the logest time I was oblivious to the fact that OpusFSX wasn't injecting weather into FSX has it supposed to (user error). I found out about the synchronicity issue when my N1Topcat calc didn't jive with the N1 FMC calc at full thrust. Now that I have OpusFSX working as it should, my N1 Topcat calculation is exactly in line with the FMC once the in game weather stabilizes.
  14. click-click, click-click. -_- Search here and ye shall find. Kyle Rogers has a video that explains it better than I ever would.
  15. Hi Rick! I would try deleting the [Audio] section in the fsx.cfg and run FSX to rebuild and then edit your settings. Here is my setup: I have both a Logitech 5.1 desk speaker system and G930 Wireless headset. I opened the sound section in FSX and configured "voice" to my headset and "sound" through my desktop speakers. Since I use FSPassanger and GSX and AES, I set my headset as default and primary device. The key is how you setup the sound in 77L/77W CDU - I send that to my desktop speakers.
  16. I had that same issue with OpusFSX setting my decent profile. Rerequesting winds from the legs page cleared that up for me.
  17. I have been running I7 2700K OC'ed to 4.7GHz with no issues with BSODs,CTDs or Freezes other than OOMs which reducing my UT AI and using Scenery Config Editor to turn off airports not used during the flight at hand didn't solve. Overclocking is always the first suspect - but if you use Prime95 to stress test during OCing for at leat 12 hours, there isn't anything you can through at your system that it couldn't handle.
  18. I know, but the Financial Accountant Six Sigma Certified Analyst in me likes data sources to tick and tie.
  19. Thank you ClaudeF!
  20. Just wondering why PMDG passed different data to TopCat from what is in the aircraft.cfg? Also, in relation to PAX,12-48-72 was passed verses 14-48-172?
  21. +1 Good things sometimes take time! That said, I for one will hold off until I see the update before buying either VOX or Pro ATC X. I supported Virtual Simulation's TacPac Pre-Order, but that was because of their stellar track record and the concept was a one of a kind project and they delivered - hands down! :Applause:
  22. Well for me - I don't fly in 2D cockpit plus I use GSX so this feature will be a waste. I just want the issue with below sea level airports not registering fixed.
  23. Reset FSUPIC once airborne.
  24. AES and GEX have similarities but the "differences" in AES is basically moving jetways at only supported airports with only a one time aircraft setup required. What you get with GEX is push back functionality at every airport with only a one time aircraft setup, but setup is required for every airport. As my skill has evolved over the years, I have migrated away from trivial stuff like moving jetways. Things like ATC add-ons, high-end aircraft, PAX add-ons, Weather and Texture add-ons and high-end airports are what interest me. Sitting in my cockpit, I can't see the jetways move anyway so what's the need? Some airports come with FSX style. I am on the contention that AES is way over priced anyway.
