Vr - "rotate"

Featured Replies

You could just edit the .wav file after backing it up and add the Vr Rotate appended from another file to it, just make sure you add some time spacing...

Nor the conversation during pushback, but we still can hear it. Lj. Prodanovic

True. But I read the introduction and it says there that they just plugged in the pushback function of one of their former products (the MD-11 I believe?) and that a more advanced version of the pushback function will come in a future patch. I also heard that they also plan to include the F/O callouts in a future patch. As it stands I think they made the right call by not dedicating any more resources on and delaying the release any further for something that isn't part of the actual aircraft.

FS2Crew is a great way to spend your money if you enjoy realism.Since you bought the NGX, it seems you do.
I agree. But the SDK files are not available to them till today.

Go into the FMC under settings and activate the call feature. Also, read the pdf files. This expaines it all.

If you like realism, in particular the callouts, get the misses to sit next to you and call out "80 knots", "v1" and "Rotate". After you reach cruise she could bring you the coffee too! :-)

I get the callouts with some paints, and not others. Is that a function of the paint livery's?

Graham - wow to get the missus to do that would mean doing a LOT of laundry... Ryan - V1 callout enabled or disabled is probably a carrier option, some airlines have them and some dont. You can alter that in one of the CDU submenus. And BTW I apologize if I came across as a bit cross earlier in the thread. If Rotate and V2 (and positive rate, gear up...) callouts were merely left out to save a week of development, then of course that's perfectly fine by me. If it's because they've got some kind of exclusive with FS2Crew or because "It's not a part of the aircraft's systems"then I don't think it's OK.

It isn't part of the aircraft systems. The plane will not call out rotate, or positive rate, or gear up. This is realistic.

They said they left it out because:1. its not part of the system2. they finished the sounds in the very last moment (so they would need more time to finish it and would have delayed the release) but they also said that they might add it in the future

They can use human voice (RSR's one for example) and make that three or four call-outs very easy :( Lj. Prodanovic

You do make a good point, but then again why have they modelled ground connections and pushback? They aren't part of the aircraft's systems any more than a copilot is?
And we don't have the ground-cockpit pushback callouts either.
Actually the ground callouts are in the sound file, whether they work or not I dont know.

I have Fs2Crew for several airliners, but I don't use it very often and don't plan to buy the 737 NGX edition. But I don't want to go completely without the F/O callouts as I am used to them from my other addons like the MD11, 747.... It is hard that they did not implement them into the initial release but I can live with it especially after having read remarks from devs. on two other threads claiming they consider getting them back in an service pack. To don't have a virtual first officer with the call like the one on the MD11, is really non understandable. If it's a mistake, no problem. But if we will only be able to have those with FS2Crew than PMDG became a greedy addon maker Benjamin
