December 21, 201114 yr Sure, it's the same in the UK, the difference is, while people are trying to take advantage of each other, the lawyers are trying to take advantage of everyone :(After my experience with the court system, I can honestly say lawyers in the US run a large and complex racket. Even when someone held me at gun point, I risked being charged. In the UK, they are called "Solicitors" .. Look up "Solicit" and you will get the picture !!That too.Howard, It won't be long before the "protectors of the realm" show up to smote you. Hello, The hypocrasy in this post beggars belief. PMDG produce an aircraft with the necessary SP.s and everyone, well most, are singing the praises of the PMDG Team. The SDK as far as I can see is a matter which PMDG wish to produce, but due to the legal technicalities, are at this time, a stumbling block. I am quite sure that every member of this Forum would not like to see PMDG fall foul of the law, and I am quite sure that they are not prepared to do so. So my suggestion is "Shut Up" and just have the patience to wait, in the meantime, fly the 737ngx and enjoy the experience. richard welsh. Here he is. The knight in not shiny armor. Sir, telling other posters to shut up is definitely not okay. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
December 21, 201114 yr From what has been announced by PMDG over the past few minths, the SDK release is being held up, for legal reason, and it has been suggested that it is due producing an appropriate EULA for "the masses".At the same time, the biggest upset resulting from this delay, is the getting of the SDK into the hands of the FS2Crew developer, so that he can develope the long-awaited FS2Crew version for the PMDG 737.Sitting on the sidelines, (in total Ignorance) a possible solution would appear to be possible.Release the SDK ASAP to the FS2crew developer, with a strick NDA. This will allow him to do the necessary development work. Then later, when the SDK is released to the "Masses" with its EULA, lift that NDA.NO !! I am NOT telling PMDG what to do !!! .. Just pointing out a possible solution to the apparent cause of distress amongst so many PMDG customers.
December 21, 201114 yr Commercial Member While we wait for the SDK… a few suggestions. Those waiting for it, in order to interface their hardware modules, there is an alternative.http://forum.avsim.n...x-737ngx-ready/Those waiting for SDK with voice control for NGX in mind. You could try this Free Demo.http://www.multicrewxp.comThose waiting for other reasons, just be patient… Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
December 22, 201114 yr The sad truth about it is, and anyone that's been around long enough will tell you, sincere posts like Howards rarely see the light of day. That's simply fact. I'm not saying that to start a fight, I just don't care, it's fact. What will get his question answered though is others agreeing with him and making this more than a one person topic, that's all. The only one person threads that ever get attention is the ones where the irate fool comes in screaming and fists flailing. Most of you have seen this. You have respectable people ask questions politely for years. Not once (not a single time) have I ever seen them answered. However, just dig up the old NGX threads. Look at how many dedicated supports for years asked simple questions and got ignored, then look at fool rush in screaming with 1 post and no name have the entire staff answering him for days. This is wide spread and I can link topicsposts like that all day from Orbx, here, heck, not many I can't. ASE and REX I think are the only two that come to mind to be honest.I'm not trying to make a point and rather no one say +1 to this. Everyone knows it's fact. Like the cliff jumper statement. It's those fools that cloud developers heads to begin with I think. You are not a person and have no respect even though you give it first. You must learn the game of politics, not humanity (sadly, but surely). I have had hundreds of posts like Howard and nicely stated by the way. The only thing that grinds my gears is how many hundreds of those people there are in all the one post threads throughout this forum. That said. Want a response? Sorry Howard, you're just too considerate to get one. You get fools like welsh telling a good person to shut up. There's your cliff jumper right there by the way. The sad fact is it's angry posts like what I could easily turn this into that get's answered. Oh and by the way, I don't even know or care what the topic is about. To me it's just about decency and lack thereof. So if anything, I hope my response wakes the dead for you to get the response that you (and any polite individual) deserves.I believe in respect. I've given beyond my share. Give it, get it. Don't give it? Don't get it. Quite simple. Unless of course PMDG is trying to simulate not only Boeing aircraft but big biz inertia. Is PMDG trying to emulate Microsoft? C'mon Bill errr RSR, it's a game after all. hehe. Cheers, Scott Ball
December 22, 201114 yr Howard in his original post made a polite and in my opinion, valid point regarding communications. It seems to me that every time somebody is in any way critical of PMDG, out come the flame throwers.Don't misunderstand me, i have every respect for PMDG, but nobody walks on water. Not even Howard.*ducks*Answer me this (anyone) how can PMDG possibly give a status update on the release of the SDK if the matter is being dealt with by lawyers and needs the agreement of third parties? This is getting out of hand. Like so many threads on this forum, only one point of view is acceptable. Anyone daring to disagree, however respectfully, is attacked as a flamer. I'm no PMDG ######, just a realist.Kevin Hall
December 22, 201114 yr Answer me this (anyone)Ok, You sell a product, you answer questions. You have a forum, you answer questions. Most people around here do as I do and try best to answer them. Not just here but everywhere. Developers have loyal supporters everywhere fielding 99% of the questions for them. Here I think 99.9% of all questions get fielded for PMDG. What does being a supporter get you? Nothing other than knowing at least you did the right thing, but don't expect them to remember that or answer your question over the one screaming bloody murder. It's always been that way and always will be that way. Personally I would answer everyone or have someone answer them, but if in a pinch, I would certainly answer a loyal supporter over a troll which also never happens here, or most places. This has been proven time and time again I think the point (to me anyway) is give respect and don't treat people like crap. Not to worry though, someone will be by shortly, say "Hello Captains" and everyone will snap to <Salute>. I've always been a supporter, but mainly for individuals on an individual basis. I see people go ignored for "WEEKS" that paid good money for a product then are just told "You should have used the ticket system". You also don't have the time to know that asking for a tutorial promised in the documentation of a product that came with the product which said "See advanced tutorial" could get you banned at one point. Waiting over a year or was that two? I'm not trying to start anything, but I'm also not a satisfied customers either when I see topics like the J41 SP one get brushed off or other promises (yes, these were promised). Again, the bottom line to me is give it to get it, and they certainly don't give it. People that look at any posttopic and see's that person other than a person is pathetic in my book. Developers (most that I see) look over their "flock" with very little respect. Already got you,,, next. Ticket system, forum rules, no, 1st respect, then, maybe, then you have the right to ask for the other I think. People pay and still sit waiting for a new key for a product they just bought and had to install twice because a failed service pack. Money in hand should get product and support, not lectures to read this or ask here. I would just be happy if these people (again, most developers) would step off their high horse and drop their god complex. Treat people as you'd want to be treated is a good place to start I think (forget where I read that... it was a good book though). This isn't my topic, but this is my rant. I am not here for popularity contests and can care less what any yes man wants to debate or say about the facts that I said. They can't be disputed. Only suckups that are hypnotized by a product could ever think any one person should get more or less respect than another. One has nothing to do with the other. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
December 22, 201114 yr It's almost Christmas guys, Congress left as usual without getting anything done, the high priced lawyers are probably already on their private jets to the Cayman Islands and the PMDG staff are probably soon to take off for some well deserved time with their families for the Holidays. Try asking again after New Years. :(Happy Holidays All Wow Paul !!.........it's a very small world !That photo was taken in Shannon Airport, christmas 2008. The girl in the photo is my youngest daughters best friend. It is the real cockpit of a Bae 146 but enclosed in a wooden shell. They ** have since aquired the real nose section of a Bae Avro and will be convertingit to a FTD in 2012. The day that pic was taken I was helping install the only fully functioning 737-800 FTD in the same building. They are constantly adding to the Museum section which is really nice.http://www.atlanticairventure.com **Fred. December 22, 201114 yr I believe these threads that rush Robert with the SDK will do a lot of good and really have a positive effect. I can imagine Robert reading this thread and saying "Oh my gosh, I forgot all about that darn SDK!!" Robert Yunque

December 22, 201114 yr Where the problem lies in my opinion is that they said it's going to be released within a week... almost a month ago and since than no sound from them. They should at least say "sorry, it's going to be more than a week..." or something or expect threads like this one people asking what's going on. Simple. The worst thing you can do is to give a date, don't stick to it and say nothing about it. Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
