Well, if you give a date than stick to it or explain why you can't or don't give any dates. The worst thing you can do is to give a date, don't stick to it and say nothing about it.
they already explained why its isnt out yet so sit back and relax

Ok, You sell a product, you answer questions.
Hey Dan,You didn't actually answer my question, but the rant that came afterwards was great. I agree with just about everything you said.Kevin

Ok, You sell a product, you answer questions. You have a forum, you answer questions. Most people around here do as I do and try best to answer them. Not just here but everywhere. Developers have loyal supporters everywhere fielding 99% of the questions for them. Here I think 99.9% of all questions get fielded for PMDG. What does being a supporter get you? Nothing other than knowing at least you did the right thing, but don't expect them to remember that or answer your question over the one screaming bloody murder. It's always been that way and always will be that way. Personally I would answer everyone or have someone answer them, but if in a pinch, I would certainly answer a loyal supporter over a troll which also never happens here, or most places. This has been proven time and time again I think the point (to me anyway) is give respect and don't treat people like crap. Not to worry though, someone will be by shortly, say "Hello Captains" and everyone will snap to <Salute>. I've always been a supporter, but mainly for individuals on an individual basis. I see people go ignored for "WEEKS" that paid good money for a product then are just told "You should have used the ticket system". You also don't have the time to know that asking for a tutorial promised in the documentation of a product that came with the product which said "See advanced tutorial" could get you banned at one point. Waiting over a year or was that two? I'm not trying to start anything, but I'm also not a satisfied customers either when I see topics like the J41 SP one get brushed off or other promises (yes, these were promised). Again, the bottom line to me is give it to get it, and they certainly don't give it. People that look at any posttopic and see's that person other than a person is pathetic in my book. Developers (most that I see) look over their "flock" with very little respect. Already got you,,, next. Ticket system, forum rules, no, 1st respect, then, maybe, then you have the right to ask for the other I think. People pay and still sit waiting for a new key for a product they just bought and had to install twice because a failed service pack. Money in hand should get product and support, not lectures to read this or ask here. I would just be happy if these people (again, most developers) would step off their high horse and drop their god complex. Treat people as you'd want to be treated is a good place to start I think (forget where I read that... it was a good book though). This isn't my topic, but this is my rant. I am not here for popularity contests and can care less what any yes man wants to debate or say about the facts that I said. They can't be disputed. Only suckups that are hypnotized by a product could ever think any one person should get more or less respect than another. One has nothing to do with the other.
My God Dan, well said............so well said, I thought it was just me who thought like that and I must not be "normal".

Wow Paul !!.........it's a very small world !That photo was taken in Shannon Airport, christmas 2008. The girl in the photo is my youngest daughters best friend. It is the real cockpit of a Bae 146 but enclosed in a wooden shell. They ** have since aquired the real nose section of a Bae Avro and will be convertingit to a FTD in 2012. The day that pic was taken I was helping install the only fully functioning 737-800 FTD in the same building. They are constantly adding to the Museum section which is really nice
Fred, I didn't know that. I just went on the web looking for something full of Cheer with Santa in the Cockpit and that is what I found with a google search. LOL.gif Very Cool picture. On the other hand if I am violating any copyrights feel free to ask the admin to remove.

why does everyone feel so entitled around here. if they say they will release it tomorrow at 12pm and then they never do....WHOO CARESSSS. do you really think PMDG not holding their deadlines is going to crash the economy or government or something? just wait, for the love of god you will you get your bloody sdk, and then you will get the 777, and then another 747 or another prop. just wait. nobody owes you anything, and if they dont want to say sorry it will take longer then to bad for you. PMDG have been so kind so far in answering tickets, posts, and building new products. be grateful and just WAIT!!! when the bloody chicken is ready, it will be served.

It always amazes me how a legitimate question on these forums, not matter the content, results in "verbal keel hauling" by other members. I am sure the PMDG staff wants to produce the SDK ASAP as much as everyone else. I do have a question: is the release of the SDK tied to the release of the BBJ addon and is the BBJ going to have a long range configuration as opposed to the present cfg? One more question directed at Bryan at FS2Crew, did the Baptists emigrate from the US to UK or the other way around? I do hope everyone at PMDG and all you members of the forum have a great Christmas and better New Year.

From the Blighty, but I don't think they were of the Westboro variety.

Reading posts on here is a way to break of the slow day thats for sure. I liked the initial request for information, customer service is a lost art these days and PMDG provides a great product and has good customer service just slow on the information sharing. At least they aren't some other companies I am sure most of you may of delt with with same type of products.Nothing is unreasonable to ask, we spend alot of money for this hobby of ours and buy some expensive add on hardware that to work properly needs the SDK. Legal process is a slow and painful one and we are willing to do it right as users to keep this company viable to make more and better FSX addon aircraft. Just some word would be nice, to appease the curiosity gene. Not like we are threatening to Occupy there headquarters till we get the 99% happy or anything. just MHO.

Well said. I completely agree and I hope PMDG takes this to heart.

People are too sensitive around here.. RSR doesn't post for a few weeks and everybody starts to whine like they got stood up on a hot date. I dont think its fair to criticize PMDGs customer support so harshly.. not sure if people realize the amount of time spent on support after the NGX release probably equals or surpasses the actual time it took to develop the stinkin thing. It seems that people are expecting a bit to much out of PMDG as a business.. if RSR has something legitimate to update the forum with, he will. Im not trying to disrespect the people that want to know things, its human nature.. I understand. But the information was stated that the SDK is being held for legal reasons and aside from that, it will be available when its available. Just because you havent heard anything, doesn't mean the sky is falling.. man.. I feel like im talking to my mother. Seriously, now that I think of it.. thats probably what RSR is thinking when he reads this crap.. "Robert.. where are you?? How come your not answering me? are you ok? should I call the police?"
