I think I can speak with some authority as I have applied to be a beta tester and I can confirm that nothing is happening (mostly because MS has not called me yet).

Hopefully that's not the case since there are a lot of well qualified people around to test this maturely.

There are multitudes of folks who would jump at the chance to say they're part of the Beta Testing, for no more reason than to replenish their ego pack, then go to every FS site available and gloat all about it!Just read through all of the Flight threads, and you can pick the candidates out... easy as shooting fish in a cast iron bathtub. EXACTLY my point. The Flight (and X-Plane) forums are to the point I don't want to post anything at all lest someone attack me for not paying homage to whichever flight sim gods I should have. It's sad such great new things (Flight or X-Plane) should make so many of us tear at each other's throats.

+1 good post! I'm sure the annoucement in Jan will soften any potential breakages of an NDA, lets hope that won't be the case. I'm also hoping Jan's little message might include a delivery date now that the beta programme is about to start. Makes sense to me and just adds to the excitement.

But I'm sure there will be people who bend the NDA because they want to show off or because they cant keep a secret, so I'm sure you will know somehow.
