December 30, 201114 yr Unfortunately uninstalling drivers, booting to safemode, cleaning all drivers with drivesweeper and then reinstalling the latest beta driver did nothing to help. Far too many posts without names are happening now. This has been a rule at this forum since we started the company and many are choosing to ignore it or are simply posting without reading the rules, both of which are signs that the user(s) in question shouldn't be posting. We require this for several reasons - first and foremost we feel that it fosters a more respectful and cordial atmosphere when people speak to each other knowing who is behind each post instead of a psuedonym. I wouldn't walk up to someone in person and introduce myself as "Tabs"... Secondly, this is unfortunate but we do have a sizable number of pirates asking (sometimes even demanding outright) support for products they stole from us. Seeing names attached to support requests allows us to verify that the request is legitimate. If you disagree with this, you can use email support, but we will not be spending our time and energy providing support to annonymous individuals who very likely may have pirated the product...The easiest way to comply with this rule is to place your name into the forum signature field in your user control panel for your account. You can make it look very nice even with graphics, system specs etc as seen in my own. This is not up for discussion and any posts arguing with the policy will also be deleted without debate.Thank you for your understanding on this issue. If everyone reads this before posting and adheres, there won't be any reason for deleted posts.****I will have to check my old WinXP notes. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

The driver works extreemly well, nice and smooth, but the limiter does nothing... nada...zippo. Maybe it is because we both are rinning XP? Anyways, one thing you can do to help especially when running unlimited FPS is to set your PRE-RENDER vale to 1. The default value is 3 but I find 1 works best. Jim Wenham
December 30, 201114 yr Have you tried this in the fsx.cfg under [GRAPHICS]:FORCEWINDOWEDVSYNC=1Yeah, that was one of the first things that I found on the net after switching to the 560 Ti. It doesn't work, unfortunately. VSYNC still only works fine in full screen mode. Thank you for your suggestion, though.
December 30, 201114 yr Same here. The driver works extreemly well, nice and smooth, but the limiter does nothing... nada...zippo. Maybe it is because we both are rinning XP? Anyways, one thing you can do to help especially when running unlimited FPS is to set your PRE-RENDER vale to 1. The default value is 3 but I find 1 works best.Maybe it is an XP thing. I have tried different pre-render settings and haven't noticed a difference. Will give 1 a try after I make dinner for the family.ThanksJB Buzz313th

December 31, 201114 yr I do not know why all your values are the way they are? If you click on each selection and then hit the triangle you are able to change to the correct vallue as in my profile. You will have to do this for each setting. After that Apply changes otherwise you will be back where you started. December 31, 201114 yr I'm using the version 290.53 beta drivers and the latest nvidia Inspector program and set the frame rate limiter to 30 for the Ms Flight Simulator X profile settings. My frame rate in FSX is still spiking to 34 fps and 41 fps at times. Frame rate is set to unlimited in FSX graphics settings. I know the frame rate limiter in Inspector is affecting FSX because if I turn it off my frame rate spikes are much higher in FSX. I decided to turn off the frame rate limiter in Inspector and set the FSX internal frame rate limiter to 30, and set my fiber_frame_time_fraction to 0.15 in the FSX.cfg file and I get nearly has high frame rates as when I sat Inspector' s frame rate limiter to 30 and FSX's limiter to unlimited, plus I don't get the frame rate spikes past 30, and it seems to run smoother for me doing it this way.I also tried an external frame rate limiter program in the past and had the same spikes going past the limit in FSX so I stopped using that limiter as well.
