December 27, 201114 yr I figured out why I was not seeing the frame limiter option. I omitted copying the new XML file that came with NI 1.9.5.7.
December 27, 201114 yr I installed driver 290.53 and inspector 1.9.5.7 and I lost all anti-aliasing in FSX :(((Reverting back to my old driver 270.61I got an automatic "update" of my old Inspecter version .. and, as far as I can tell, it retained all of my previous settings. All I did was select a frame limiter value and "Apply" it .... Done. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
December 27, 201114 yr I've had zero success with the frame limiter, as have experienced in the past. However, the new driver does appear to be smoother... December 27, 201114 yr Wow, there's sure some different experiences with the internal frame limiter.I set frames to 30 (in NI and unlimted in FSX of course) and tried a test flight with a demanding add-on aircraft (Do-27X) and Aerosoft's VFR Germany scenery plus an add-on airport, and it worked extermely well. Frames bounced a little between 28.5 and 30, but that's not at all unexpected on this aircraft and scenery combination. On a test with a default aircraft at a default airport, the frames just twitched a little from time to time.I'm extremely pleased with the result. Smoother and some really anoying ghosting in the Do cockpit gone. Can't say the frames are better (nor was this expected), but the experience is.i7 920 o/c to 4.0 GHz, GTX 570 1280 MB and Win7 64 bit. Herman Ross Seattle, USA

December 27, 201114 yr Thank you very much, i did a reset and it's ok nowHow did you do this? I lost antialiasing too and there seems to way to regain it.Care to elaborate what you did to "reset"? Dave P. Woycek
December 27, 201114 yr Read in a previous post that if you find it jerky, use an external limiter, not the one that comes wih Inspector, and the results are much better Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
December 27, 201114 yr How did you do this? I lost antialiasing too and there seems to way to regain it.Care to elaborate what you did to "reset"?Nevermind. I found out. Stupid me.The driver appears to work fine. So does the FPS limiter of the new nVidia inspector version. Some more tests will show what this stuff is made of. Dave P. Woycek
December 27, 201114 yr Sounds interesting! Now, if they could only make VSYNC work in Windowed mode...

December 28, 201114 yr It's funny how FSX performance are totally different from one PC to another. I gave up using external FPS limiters as I have found that using an external FPS limiter introduces heavy blurries, while using the internal limiter (I set it to 25 fps) gives no blurry at all (LOD radius is set at 6.5). I use it in combination with the fsx.cfg tweaks FFTF=0.1 and Usepools=0.......I know these two are not good for many users as they are reported to introduce blurries, instability or graphic issues, but in my case they work great all together and my sim has never been so smooth, stable and eye candy..(I am still using Nvidia drivers 275.33, as I found that they perform better than the newest ones).Misteries of FSX..!!!Regards AMD Ryzen 7800x3d, Asus ROG Strix RTX4090, Asus x670e-e, G-Skill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
December 28, 201114 yr Yeah this Inspector limiter is working really well for me. Really smooth, even in ORBX NZSI! Gavin Price
