January 3, 201214 yr Only reason I don't know that it is placebo Andy is that at 25600 which someone once recommended I got all sorts of graphics errors. At 4000 I get no errors and things are great with unlocked FPS and VSync enabled to lock at 60FPS... So while it may not have any positive impact to back up your placebo-itits I think it is doing something as it clearly affected my setup...Nut that could just be me :)Hi thereI did try changing my TBM to 1200 ,and in a fever pitch of excitement fired up the sim. However there was no discernible (to me) increase or decrease in perf, but that's just the joy of tweaking ,tweaking and tweaking some more.cheers Andy
January 3, 201214 yr Hey Andy,Don't feel bad, I just figured out that setting has no effect for me as I run unlimited frames :blush:I am thinking of trying the new Nvidia Inspector though and seeing if running unlimited frames in FS9 but limited to 30 FPS in the driver makes any impact... Who knows :( Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

January 3, 201214 yr Commercial Member Go to drivers and monitors section, huge topic on them...Interesting, thanks. Let us know how they do in FS9, unfortunately probably won't get to it for a day or two myself. January 3, 201214 yr My Settings...Got to admit Paul I put your numbers (settings) to task and really noticed a pronounced crispness in the textures. Thanks for posting.

Your setup deserves the crispest textures, that is for sure!Another .cfg setting is the cloud coverage density setting... That can actually go as high as 12 (with a fps tradeoff) to create cloud cover as far as the eye can see... Looks phenomenal if your system can handle it.-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Who knows :(Hey Paul, I've just downloaded the latest Inspector with FPS limiter, sadly the lowest it goes is 29! After spending the past week reconfiguring all my settings based around a locked framerate of 26, which incidentally works superbly well, I cannot take advantage of the limiter :( I'm surprised really, when you consider that there are many of us who have locked franmerates of 25. January 6, 201214 yr You my friend have made my day. I tried your settings along with some others and what a difference.Same here! I have been using a tweaked fs9.cfg myself and I thought I just can't make the FS9 ground look better. But I have applied entries suggested here by Paul and... voilla!.... my simworld has never looked better.Even if this is a coincidence or a mirage only, it is a very nice one. Thanks a lot, Paul! :(

January 7, 201214 yr Wow, great news guys!!! I am really happy that my settings are working out for others as well!!!.cfg settings can be so system specific and what works on one may not work on another but I am super pleased to hear that posting my settings has helped others...Howard,I just got back from a week of business in Chicago so haven't played with the new inspector yet. It is supposed to be 60 degrees in NJ today so I will be on the motorcycle today but hope to look at inspector later today or tomorrow before I have to leave again for work :(Thanks for posting back guys, really happy I could help!-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
