March 7, 201214 yr Got 3hrs of flight time in Flight and I have to say.....I'm actually impressed with some of the missions, the landing challenges are pretty interesting too. Trying to find some of the Aerocaches is neat too but the toughest one will be trying to get up to 85,000ft above honolulu Int just to grab one of the Aerocaches. Oh and that Boeing Stearman bi-plane is awesome wish there was a payware version of it for fsx. Also just saw some pics of the up coming DLC for Flight....Alaska along with new planes. Flight is worth checking out if say you don't have time to do a full flight in FSX but still want to fly and try something different. Aerocaches, landing challenges, missions, flight jobs flying passengers and cargo and free flight. Also one more thing. Flight added one nice touch which I never thought I would see in a sim but if you fly inverted for too long the engines will sputter out and if you get your plane right side up the engines will cough some and sputter white smoke. A one up on X-Plane 10 lol. Ian Paxton The lights are dimming on FSX and only getting brighter for XPX.

March 9, 201214 yr Yes it's a game and your point is??? Ian Paxton The lights are dimming on FSX and only getting brighter for XPX.
March 9, 201214 yr I love fsx ..but it's a game.just like flight is.anyone who says different is fooling thereselves.yes you can learn cockpit procedures, yes you can fly the NGX using a FMC.yes you can Talk to ATC and file a Flightplan.just ask any Realworld PIlot what they really think.bottom line is..you make a mistake in the real world you could land up dead.in fsx you make a mistake ..you might spill your tea.Just fed up with this ridiculous flight bashing.the same crap that was said when FSX was released.people saying I'm Not Spending Money On Flight.I'm not buying any Addons to put money into MS pockets.someone tell me why Microsoft should not make money.what is so different from them and EA and the battlefield series.a very big moneyspinner, which also had addons you had to buy to play extra levels in multiplayer.some of this critisism is coming from people who haven't even installed it. steve-0 REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett
March 10, 201214 yr I find Flight a good five minute game but it does nothing in terms of serious simulation. I have FSX with PMDG and FS2CREW with ORBX scenery that's all I need!! :D Andy Hinton Dell Studio XPS 435MT, Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz , 8GB RAM,Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit), NIVIDA Ge Force GTX 460
March 12, 201214 yr I was looking forward Flight since the announcement but got progressively more worried when the details came out but being an optimist, i downloaded it on release day even going to the effort of installing a new harddrive just for flight and doing as many missions as i could for free. While i can see the potential in the engine itself i just can't see where Microsoft think they're going in tersm of their target customer. If their target audience is the type that play COD and Battlefield 3 (i do play this), what makes them think that as soon as another blockbuster game comes along, they will won't just move on to that? Just say they get the flight bug and want to get into bigger and better things such as complex aircraft addons such as PMDG or 3rd party sceneries, then the only options they have are to move to a 6 year old microsoft product( FSX) or move to one of their competitors? In the meantime hardcore simmers who have the interest and the spending power for addons cant justify spending hard cash for planes that come even without a cockpit or a severely simplified oneFor me, Flight simulator is and always has been just a blank canvas to paint with 3rd party addons untill you get whatever you are interested in to your taste. I would have happily spent full price for the next new version of flight sim but won't be spending any money on this product.I can only hope someone like aerosoft can work on a worthy replacementCeri
March 12, 201214 yr Yes it's a game and your point is???My point is simple. Many people still believe that MS Flight is going to be a replacement for the MS Flight Simulator franchise. The latter at least tried to be a simulator which MS Flight doesn't even try to be. Dave P. Woycek
March 12, 201214 yr Microsoft never even said Flight would be a replacement to FSX, they made it clear pretty clear when they dropped the simulator name. Ian Paxton The lights are dimming on FSX and only getting brighter for XPX.

The latter at least tried to be a simulator which MS Flight doesn't even try to be.In what way does it not do that? I didnt like Flight much, but its clearly a simulator. Its just not my cup of tea, like many other simulators Johan Pettersen
March 13, 201214 yr My problem is that I can't get my 14 and 16yr old grandsons interested in FLIGHT. They can do missions on my FSX or P3D while going to the local arcade to play shoot 'im down flight sims or first person shooter sims. On their own computers, mainly car stuff. Aviation is dull, outside of Wings of Prey on my computer or IL2 Sturmovik or Rise of Flight. And on their own computers first person shooter games in abundance. I'm not saying its good, I am just saying how it is. KInd regards, Ian McPhail
March 18, 201214 yr Hi Everybody..I just downloaded Flight and ...WOW....I didn't expect it to be like that...I'm already bored.... after playing all free missions, I can't be bothered to pay any DLC..just my2centsregardsRichard Oberwinkler Just my 2 cent's ____________________________________________________Richard Oberwinkler
March 24, 201214 yr I don't call this "Flight", I call it "McFlight" after the McDonald's Happy Meal which is a fast food, fast money making version of real food. McFlight is greedy Microsoft lame attempt at capitalizing on flight sim enthusiasts and developers. It has never been on my computer and never will.I believe FSX is simply a blank canvas for the true master artists like PMDG, Orbx and FSDreamteam. By itself, FSX is lifeless. The addon developers, like PMDG, make it hopelessly addictive. I look forward, with great enthusiasm to new products like the PMDG 777 and 747v2 (they need to call it something more exciting than v.2. Maybe 747 on Steroids). Robert Yunque

March 27, 201214 yr ..And you don't think PMDG could have existed without Microsoft? Please give me a break! You've never heard of XPlane? You don't think someone else would have developed a flight simulator platform? You think all of this money that flight sim enthusiast are spending, would have been left on the table without Microsoft?Anyway, when Microsoft built flight simulator they were reaching out to people that were seriously interested in aircraft or were fastinated with flying, not gamers wanting to pop balloons and score points with an airplane and an Xbox controller.Microsoft seen developers like PMDG actually making a living off of their software and got greedy. They want a cut of that money, and they don't want a small cut.You need to think before you insult other people because you just make yourself look simple. Robert Yunque
