What can I say that hasn't already been said?? :( Well, this:To the tune of American Pie (with profuse apologies to Don McClean)A long long time agoI can still remember how that FS used to make me smileAnd I knew if I did more tweaksThat I would make those blurries ceaseAnd maybe I'd be happy for a whileBut February made me shiverWith every screenshot they'd deliverBad news on the desktopAnother epic sim-flopI don't remember who I blamedWhen I read about their arcade gameBut something deep inside me flamedThe day the Flight Sim diedRefrainSo bye-bye to you Microsoft FlightMay a pox visit your XBoxAnd your profits be lightThem good old boysAre buying Apples tonightSingin' This'll be the way that I fly...This'll be the way that I flyDid you fight the memory leakAnd do you have faith in the ******* tweakIf the forum tells you so?Now do you believe in Bufferpools?Does water keep your chipset cool? And can you help me clock my CPU?Well I know you're all in love with Nick'cause he taught you nearly every trickWe all looked at the cluesAnd sang the FS bluesI had a mid-range gol-danged AMDWith a ton of RAM and an SSDBut all I got was a CTDThe day the Flight Sim died(refrain)Now for two years we've been on our ownSince ACES sank like a block of stoneBut that's not how it used to beWhen the jester sang for the CEOIn a banker's voice hushed and lowThey made a move that screwed you and meOh and while Bill Gates was stepping downThe bankers stole his thorny crownThe boardroom was adjournedThe verdict was returnedAnd while Ed Wilson read Dale CarnegieThe add-on devs began to fleeAnd FSX sat stutteringThe day the Flight Sim died(refrain)And there we were all mad and vexedStuck in time with FSXWith no way left to start againSo come on Jack be nimble, Jack be quickJack flash, he smoked a memory stickCause blue screens are the devil's only friendOh and as I watched Flight on the screenCater to the pimpled teenNo angel born in HellCould mask that rotten smellAnd as the flames climbed high into the nightTo light the sacrificial riteI saw Austin laughing with delightThe day the Flight Sim Died(Chorus)I met a simmer who sang the bluesAnd I asked him for the Avsim newsBut he just turned and banked awayI went online to the sacred storeWhen I'd bought the add-ons years beforeBut the FAQ there said the versions wouldn't playAnd on VATSIM controllers sleptThe screens were empty as the pilots weptBut not a word was spokenThe software all was brokenAnd the sims that we flew mostPlus the add-ons they did hostThey hit the sale rack--they were toastThe day the Flight Sim died(refrain)

Great!Who has a guitar and a video camera? We need to see this sung!Instead of American Pie, call it The Flight Sim High. But heres to looking up that something good comes out of all of this for those of use that still use PCs.We are still selling many FS9 titles actively, so there are no urgent worries at present. But FS11 with backward compatibility would be quite nice.

Thanks,
