Everyone, a terrible tragedy has befallen one of our brothers and I hate to deviate from this amazing supporting aura from our community to address this -- but this is important. In order to remain compliant with AVSIM ToU and foster an encouraging environment for all of our users, please refrain from using racial slurs on our system. Also, please remember that unless you know, without a shadow of a doubt, that a person (of any race, religion or creed) did something, that we don't assume or jump to "who dun it" for the same reason mentioned in my last sentence. Furthermore, it's unfair to an entire race to be judged by ones person, or a small groups, actions. Thank you for understanding.

Hi Chase,Reading this thread, it may appear it was my post that may have caused you to offer a friendly warning, I apologise for any mis understanding, the term Blaggers means Robbers in the UK, my Dad is a cockney, and you can blame him.RegardsJulian Edited by ZK-SUH

Julian, I see it may appear that way to you, but only because I removed the slurs I was referencing from other posts excluding yours. At this point I won't point out "who dun it," but it wasn't you so no worries there.

Ok, cool, thanks Chase.

What's very nearly funny, is that we currently have FOUR dogs, one of which being a 45Kg (100lb) Inuit. We had them all with us!Thanks guys!
Four? You are as crazy as us! (we only have three so you're a little more over the line than us) :(

No, Julian. It seems that the heavy hand of the 'Almighty Censor' came down on my post referring to 'Travellers', or gipsies, which is a recognised official word, in a colloquial just as your Cockney father did with reference to thieves. So maybe this colloquial reference to thieves will get censored and deleted.

Unfortunately, there is little chance of the plod catching these scum. In the UK, they sit in their comfy police stations and police cars drinking coffee and eating fast food most of the day and are only interested in catching motorists (who are easy prey to them). Actually very little point in even reporting crime these days (which is the real reason why the crime rate hasn't soared). After 10 or 15 years of the easy life (as above), they then find ways of convincing their doctor that they are unfit to work and end up spending the res tof their lives on the sick. The fittest bloke in our street is a copper retirerd at age 35 (10 years ago) with a bad back. The only bloke I know that has 6 holidays per annum, plays sport, swims and can climb onto his roof without the aid of a ladder (he can crab up 20 feed between two walls with a back so bad, that he never has to work again).Mind you, if the police did do anything, they would bewasting their time, as when they get the criminals to court, they usually get let of with a small fine they don't even bother to pay or a slap on the wrist.IAN

++1 as clearly seen by that boastful splash in the Press this week. Well said.

A friend of mine recently had his racing kart stolen by 'travellers'. He knew who did it, had the chasis number, engine numbers, everything. But the police wouldn't help.

Oh man sorry to hear about that. The worst thing is, what they've stolen is worth much more than the money you paid for it. Computers are the worst things to have stolen. To the ###### who stole it it's worth the price of the parts, to you it could be worth millions.

Why not ask the cops if you can go out with them to see what really goes on? I did, when I was thinking of becoming a special. You might get a ride with a neighbourhood policing team. You'll get the chance to see what cops really do. Why not volunteer? Go out on a friday night, and see how shite the job can be. And you'll get to hear how sick a lot of them are with the system. And don't write off roads policing, which intercepts a lot of 'proper' crime, including toe rags who've just robbed someone's house...Ian

Let's not allow this to degenerate into some kind of anti-police thread eh guys? Having been through it several times before, I know only too well just how frustrating it is to see the Police come up with zilch. They feel just the same - really! When I was still on active service, our mob often worked alongside the Met Police (London). I can tell you one thing for certain.... I'd much rather my job than theirs. The paperwork alone would've taken half my hours! However, on this occasion, they are being absolute hero's - real troopers! I'm 'gob smacked' by the level of resources they appear to be throwing at this (could be that we have the Duke living in the village mind) ;-)I'm reasonably sure they now who's done this too. They just won't say for sure. They'll be here again soon (and it's Sunday!)
