Wow, that is messed up, where do you live Italy? I really hope they catch whoever did it. Check for external cameras from your door, maybe a store or someone has one mounted.

Boy, that is really awful news to go on top of your recent thankfully successful op. No need to say sorry for venting.Anybody who has gone through what you went healthwise then to have this happen, is like a kick in the teeth.I have a Pentium Dual Core D820 CPU+MoBo to get you up and running, if you should so need. I know, it's not your beloved SB. Just feel so awful for you.

If you have the MoBo and CPU serial nos.maybe you could give these to the cops to circulate to any of the 2nd-hand dealers, or Cash Con------t-rs-type shops in case the thief(ves)try to palm it off at any of these places

Already done! I take photos of every system I build.

That's terrible! Please consider the following:1) If you cannot afford a real alarm system, you can find alarm system signs and window/door stickers to buy via Google.2) If you cannot afford a real camera system, you can find fake cameras that look real via Google.3) A good guard dog, like a Doberman, Rottweiler, or German Sheperd (or anything that barks at every single noise it can hear).4) An automatic sentry turret armed with a gatling gun to take out the distgusting, wretched low-lives who feel entitled to your stuff... :(

Phil,Sorry to hear of your situation. If you lived in my general vicinity, I would have a ton of hardware to loan you to get you back in play... But the Atlantic brings that to a screeching halt. Hopefully, the local constabulary can bring some satisfaction to you by catching the cretins.

That is very sad news. Robbery is a personal violation of privacy. I think thieves are cowardly scum leaches feeding off the resources of others and lacking any thread of empathy of their fellow man. I feel bad for you.

Sorry to hear about this man.

What's very nearly funny, is that we currently have FOUR dogs, one of which being a 45Kg (100lb) Inuit. We had them all with us!Thanks guys!

That is so terrible! Sounds like you have to either move or create some serious deterrent (a not so nice German Shepard?), locks, video cam, etc. Hang in there but from what it sounds like you must do something different than you have been. Good luck!
