January 24, 201214 yr I am looking to buy a good quality aircraft and am looking at the PMDG 737 8/9. $70 sounds like a fair price for quality.. is it as good as advertised? Thanks Phill Dant
January 24, 201214 yr It has the most features I've ever seen in an FSX addon. It will tax your system a bit though - recommend a recently built system...And I'm a general aviation flyer most of the time - just buy it! January 24, 201214 yr Author Thanks guys, will pull out the old debit card tonight. Just rebuilt the gaming PC and put on 64 bit windows. When loading FSX it defaulted to all sliders maxed out. I think the PMDG should be ok, I meet or exceed all of the reccommendations on their website. Phill Dant
January 24, 201214 yr Let me put it this way: I cant' go back to any of my other payware aircraft.Luis Linares LUIS LINARES Processor: Intel Core i9 6700K 9900K (5.0 GHz Turbo) Eight Core; CPU Cooling: NXXT Kraken X62 280mm CPU Liquid Cooler; System Memory: 64GB Corsair DDR4 SDRAM @ 3200 MHz, RGB; Graphics Processor: 11GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, GDDR6, Primary Drive: 2TB Samsung 850 Pro Solid State Drive (SSD)
January 24, 201214 yr Yea, the NGX is the pinnacle of payware aircraft, IMHO...at least until their 777 comes out. ;D Scott Burns
January 24, 201214 yr Author I am looking forward to getting this. I assume that I can move the default 737's out of FSX and into a temp dir for safe keeping. I hope the 777 comes soon, but will get the 747 too while waiting. Phill Dant
January 24, 201214 yr It's a world apart from any other payware aircraft, save maybe the 377 from Accusim, which comes close. The J41 is also a fine addon, with FS2Crew, i might be tempted to say i enjoy the J41 more than the NGX. Edited January 24, 201214 yr by WotanUK Ian R Tyldesley
January 24, 201214 yr I would also endorse ANY PMDG addon, especially the J41 & NGX.The NGX has, in my opinion, raised the bar SO high in FSX, that I don't see how any other developer could match it any time soon. January 24, 201214 yr Its a great plane, def one of the best tubeliners. Almost as good as the Maddog! Johan Pettersen
January 24, 201214 yr Its a great plane, def one of the best tubeliners. Almost as good as the Maddog!Although I agree there are a few areas where the Maddog is nicer, such as the config/route planner and multi-crew, there are many areas where the NGX surpasses the Maddog, particularly in the visuals, performance, and documentation, and if I could only have one it would be the NGX. Still, considering the age of the Maddog, it is quite a compliment to say that it still competes with the NGX. Both I believe are essential airliners for FSX. Shane Gavin

January 24, 201214 yr Let me put it this way: I cant' go back to any of my other payware aircraft. The same to me. Every other plane I have looks somehow poor against it. It totaly makes you addict to it. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
