February 28, 201214 yr How to extract the pdf from the sp1c if you don't have the original release of the NGX?PMDG spent resources and time to make it, it is obvious that will not share it for free to anyone.Asking for the moon is when you want to stay updated on the news about the product, but, want that the updates are 100% correct in release (so you want "we will release the sp1c on Feb 28. at 12.04,56 PM" and soon is unacceptable.Ryan already told that is under beta testing. This is required in order to let us have a working SP that will not break our previous installation, that will not create other bugs and so on, and probably will save you and me to download an sp1c"b" after few hours from the release. It is the same thing that they did when they fixed each bug already fixed, they fixed 1, 2 ,40, 100, then they released the patch. Imagine if you want a patch for each bug already fixed... hundreds of patch, each time with livery installation from 0, old panel states to be removed and so on.It is sufficient to be patient.I don't understand this need for this patch as soon as possible, the plane is flyable, the tutorial flight is sufficient, there are also other material on the net, the SDK is only for fspassenger? I don't see any problem in flying without it. Regards Andrea Daviero
February 28, 201214 yr It is just the principle. One time informed keep customers.Informed for what? A release date? Soon, as stated at the beginning of the topic.Soon for a product that needed years to develop maybe days or weeks, also months.I just imagine if Ryan tells "it will be released in the week end", then it will be released on monday... I just imagine how many of you will post from sunday morning until the release. Regards Andrea Daviero

February 28, 201214 yr How to extract the pdf from the sp1c if you don't have the original release of the NGX?PMDG spent resources and time to make it, it is obvious that will not share it for free to anyone. The pdf has nothing to do with SP1c afaik... PMDG only chose to release them together. Which is fine with me. But the pfd will be free, just as SP1c, so I still don't get your point... But that doesn't matter because I already said I don't mind waiting because I am having fun with the 737NGX already... I just wondered why PMDG decided to 'ship' the tutorial with SP1c and not release it now since it is finished. That's all.But this is getting out of hand and going nowhere, so I'll leave it at this. :(
February 28, 201214 yr We all have to wait,Maybe Robert will come on here and say it will come out Feb 29th. If it does not than we just have to wait 4 more years. JeffG Jeffrey Gerbert

February 28, 201214 yr Well, this proves it. The NGX is like crack. Dangle tutorial 2 over our heads and we practically have a seizure trying to get to it.
February 28, 201214 yr Well, this proves it. The NGX is like crack. Dangle tutorial 2 over our heads and we practically have a seizure trying to get to it.Yeah, only this time the first hit wasn't free! :( Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
February 28, 201214 yr But the pfd will be free, just as SP1c, so I still don't get your point...I am not sure....No additional payment, you see, is not quite the same as no payment at all. As I see it, you still have to own a paid for version of NGX... --Peter Fabian
February 28, 201214 yr Not at all! The 2nd tutorial is perfectly valid for any 737ng addon with unprecedented systems depth. Oh wait, that's the ngx, nevermind! Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
February 28, 201214 yr I am not sure....No additional payment, you see, is not quite the same as no payment at all. As I see it, you still have to own a paid for version of NGX...Yes, well, that's rather obvious, I think... No need for it all without actually having bought the thing... :(
February 28, 201214 yr You see, actually... the thing is, while you obviously can not use the SP itself, meaning, software code, maybe SDK, and all, without owning the original NGX package, you could very much use (and abuse) the tutorial itself, just as you could use and abuse for example the Boeing provided documentation included in the original package, FCOM, QRH, the lot.If I may offer a comparable situation in my eyes, for example say you have enrolled on a course for computer graphics over at the local college. They offer in the price of the course a very nice book called Entry into Photoshop, in two volumes. You would get the first volume right away, the second volume would be available after midterm, since it still needs to be finished, re-touched etc.Now you see, you would have a point saying it will be provided to enrolled students free of charge, and it is kind of a no point reading it without reading the first volume and being in the course. But it is still a study book proper, not to be just handed out freely to everyone who claims one (or for the cost of printing).PS: I am not saying that you do not understand my point, but I know there are people that are not quite understanding the differences between free and free. I know I know several, for better or worse. --Peter Fabian
February 28, 201214 yr FS2CREW!!!!Sorry, I was meaning it, and it is something that do not affect the ngx usage, so there is no immediate need. :(Where are the FCOM PDF? They are inside the installer, the intro document (as far as I remember) was modified in SP1, but the free pdf was still inside the SP1 installer, you were able to downolad freely the installer with the PDF, but you were not able to use the PDF without the NGX.Same thing will be for Sp1C and the tutorial, you can download sp1c for free, enjoy the tutorial for free, but you must have bought the NGX.It's that so complex to understand? Or do you think that they must put the PDF on AVSIM library after the time they spent on it?Or do you want a separate installer only for PDF?It was stated in the first topic that tutorial will be released inside the sp1c. That's all. Regards Andrea Daviero
