The Maule is a GREAT little STOL aircraft. Room for 6, some cargo space, extra fuel tanks and LOTS of buttons to push!!! Plus, the fabric has a slight sparkle effect if the sun hits it just right... Its fully modeled like the RV-6 and is much better then the default FSX Maule. Then again im bias twards it... The RV is a sports car, and the Maule is an SUV. Some people like that sort of thing ;)

I got the Hawaii DLC in the beta about a month into it, I think after a week of flying on the free island I had realised that I really needed to get the extra content but at the time it was being drip fed out to people. If I could have bought the DLC then I would have. After having the DLC and then getting the Vans R6, having some ILS approaches I could do, was loving the challenges where you had to land it in fog etc and flying around and seeing more sights I felt that Flight was actually quite a good pickup and go fly sim, reminded me of Flight Unlimited 3 in that respect. What I like about it also is that whereever you leave the plane and in whatever state then when you come back to it later its there exactly as it was before. Though sometimes that can be problematic, lol for example if you park on a slope, exit the plane and the brakes are off, you come back later and your plane has vanished, its gone on a trip on its own. This was in the beta and have not tried that in the Release version just yet. When the beta finished I was lucky enough to be given keys to all the DLC content out there today so I felt happy about that because I then felt I had done a good job.Craig

What's this ######???? I thought nobody was gonna buy stuff from them!??

I bought it, too... actually bought IT and downloaded it before the actual game/simulator/whatever...
ha, same here. bought it do recap our hawaii vacation on maui 3 yrs ago. need to follow hana hwy. unfortunately, flight base pack does not install right now, keeps throwing corrupt installations at me. downloading now the 7th time. I really HATE these huge download files, rather have several smaller ones as the installer told me that some x1.cab file is corrupt, needless to download all 1.4gb just for 1 cab file...

Still considering it, want to try out the base package a bit more first. One thing I'd be interested in is hearing if all the IFR equipment works correctly? I.e. will the RV (and/or Maule) allow you to actually make use of the various navaids that are sprinkled around the map?

on the maule yes you can tune a ILS with the radios and used but no autopilot as of yet . I figure everything will be funtional at one point in all the aircrafts..

Yes, the nav radios on the RV work. VORs & NDBs are marked. There are some ILSs marked on the maps, but I haven't tried them yet.I managed to lose my plane. I got out of it at the end of one flight. The next flight was a mission or aerocache hunt and I was standing(!) at the hold point.Mike

I bought it, but it was late last night and I haven't yet had the chance to do much flying.

Yes, the Vans and the Maule are fully featured models. All instruments are present and correct.

Not quite fully featured... the transponder in the RV appears to be fixed on ALT. But that's a minor quibble.Mike

Mike Dryden

Got It. Went to Hawaii (Maui) for the first time a few months ago. Definitely want to fly around the island.

Ya. The Transponders DONT work right now. With the lack of ATC, there really is no need for them. I hope MS does an ATC DLC that will enable them. Also the autopilots are INOP and dont work. Again, maybe something that will get fixed or added later on? I truly hope MS supports Flight, but first the community needs to support Flight to justify further development. Sort of a catch-22
