Dessault Falcon 2000S :Hypnotized:Nice choice, P&W engines, 6 passengers @ Mach .80 cruise for 3,350 NM at FL470. That is a high flyer.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
March 5, 201214 yr I wonder if that is the intention, that we will be able to fly all the way from Alaska to hawaii in real time. Certainly would be great to be able to do that. -Scotty

March 5, 201214 yr I want a dreamliner to fly from PANC to PHNL, that would be awesome, plox make it happen MS :D.
March 5, 201214 yr Is that the size of whole Alaska or just some islands of it ?The land size of Alaska is around 586,400 square miles....so...if the 1.2 million square miles is true, it likely includes the Bearing Sea and the Aleutians--which would put me "all in" with Flight, as that is my favorite area of the world to fly in.....maybe they'll enable real-weather...then it would be truly a challenge and fun (unpredictable).BillKGYH
March 5, 201214 yr HelloA working autopilot and ATC/Ai cannot be far away, I cannot imagine producing an aircraft like the dassault without any systems at all.1.2 million square miles is a lot of hand flying

March 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member Why is the communication about what's going on with Flight - and hey intentions around development so fragmented and disjointed? Some random site now posts about Alaska? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great but the marketing approach just seems really odd this time.
March 5, 201214 yr Finally, the end of the degoratory term of "The Hawaii Sim".Area of Hawaii: 10,931 sq. milesArea of Alaska: 663,268 sq. milesArea of "Journey To Alaska": officially "over 1.2 million square miles"https://news.microsoftflight.com/blogs/news/archive/2012/03/05/dlc-sneak-peek-journey-to-alaska.aspx
March 5, 201214 yr Why would it be necessary for them to model the airways between Alaska and Hawaii? ....snip..I don't think they would either. Agree it will likely be a separate area. It is a 6hr non-stop jetliner flight from Honolulu to Anchorage (or about 40-50 hours in the Icon), and not much to see along the way but waves and clouds. Pretty excited at the thought of the entire state of Alaska in Flight, as this is one of my favorite areas in FSX. Especially if they include the Alaskan panhandle from Juneau down through Sitka and Ketchican. As someone here pointed out though I wonder how they handle that long 1,500 mile long border with Canada? An iron curtain?? Edited March 5, 201214 yr by desbean
