March 18, 201214 yr I purchased exdok recently and have been happy so far. I will be turning down some of the shake as I go along. There is avery good three part tutorial on you tube that may help you decide. Phill Dant
March 18, 201214 yr Author I've never used the default camera system. Are you able to set and save views as easily as with ezdok or do you have to edit the .cfg? Also, with ezdok you can assign buttons to views. Is the default camera limited to cycling views or are buttons also assignable?Yes you can set up and save cameras by editing the aircraft.cfg file. I have a standaerd setup for all my aircraft and when I install a new plane I just copy the cameras section from a similar sized aircraft then just tweat the parameters a bit. You can also assign shortcut keys but not as many as Ezdok. I have 2 assigned to camera views in the VC, one for the jump seat and another for the OHD panel in addition to the standard FSX VC camera.I also have saved camera views (two with shortcut keys assigned) for the passenger overwing and engine views etc hence my question about Ezdok.RegardsPhil Asus Maximus Hero XI , i7-8086, 16 Gb RAM, nVidia GTX 1080 ti

The first time I bought the program I fussed with it for a couple of days and then returned it for a refund. But like you I kept hearing about how much it adds to the experience and I tried it again, this time spending more time in the manual and really making an effort to get it to work correctly.Having said that, I won't go so far as to say that you would be happier with EZdok, especially if you find yourself in the group where EZdok just doesn't seem to work right on your system. After I made those videos I kind of opened myself up to becoming a psuedo-tech support person and I know that even with all the videos and manuals and forum posts some people just never got it to work well. There are still some issues in the current version but since we have no idea when to expect the update, we have to learn to work around them.I'll say this, though. If you are reasonably confident that you have good backups of all your aircraft.cfg files and can go back to your default camera system if EZdok doesn't work out for you, then I would give it a try. You know you can return it if it doesn't work out. You never know, it may add just that extra bit of realism that you didn't know you were missing and now can't live without. March 18, 201214 yr Ezdok is a great addon for creating camera views and assigning key for them. But I never use any camera vibration effect. For landing effect, you can use accu-feel, it is much realistic.I agree accufeel feels better! I surely don't think so. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
March 18, 201214 yr I thought I was the only who felt this way about EzDok. I read the manual. I looked at it on YouTube, but for I'd like more ease of use. If 2.0 will make it a bit user friendly, perhaps I'll revisist the program. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma
March 19, 201214 yr Author Thanks for all your comments, which as usual are very helpful. My conclusion is that I think I'll wait and see what V2 brings.RegardsPhil Asus Maximus Hero XI , i7-8086, 16 Gb RAM, nVidia GTX 1080 ti
March 20, 201214 yr The interface can look confusing but once you realise that alot of settings don't need to be touched unless you are some kind of mad tweaker that has to delve into the inner depths of how EZdok can be adjusted in its greatest detail it is quite straight forward.Read the manual and use it as reference, watch the good user vids on the EZdok website that puts it across very well and take your time with it. It all clicks eventually and then you will even be able to adjust camera views in full screen mode without even looking at the menu :( . Kind Regards Simon.

March 20, 201214 yr I bet EZDOK author doesn't even know what usability means. It provides some cool effects, true, but it's also the most unfriendly software I ever seen. --------------------- Gabriel Diaz
March 20, 201214 yr Where you find the place to rant is really incredible. He's delivering you a product that no other product can match, with all the help needed to get it working nicely, all profiles for default aircraft which you can port to addon aircraft, I know, I did it and unsurpassed camera actions. And ver 2 announced to be even easier. That all for very little money.Stop ranting.Sent from my iPad using Forum Runner

RANT: verb 1.To speak or declaim extravagantly or violently; talk in a wild or vehement way.As rants go that one was pathetic. Gabriel, if you're going to rant, put a bit more 'oomph' into it. What you posted sounded more like an opinion.(one with which, I would, on the whole, agree) :( The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. March 20, 201214 yr I'm not trying to hurt nobody's feelings, just stating something that looks pretty clear to me, as the software developer I am. --------------------- Gabriel Diaz
