The preview shots look very exciting. It brings back memories when PMDG released their 777 for FLY. Really looking forward to seeing more looks of their 777 design!

Best Regards

Well my pleasure:The model itself looks ok, but the skin looks kinda schematic, lack of details, resolution is questionable. Just doesn't not look real and I dont like it. I know it's not a final version. I'm not saying the model is bad, my point is this model is not WOW! simply because there's another T7 model on the market.
Thanks for humoring me, Albert.

This is mature.Ok I'll try.... wow... awesome... no doesn't work. Sorry :(
Works great for me.I don't know what is the point of coming into a developer's forum and mentioning other developer's products. I'm sure that another developer building a 777 simulation will have PMDG crying all the way to the bank.

It's like they said. They choose the LR because they have access to it. I'm sure once they have access to a 200ER they'll model it
It's not just the access issue (we can get 200ERs pretty easily) - the 200LR, 300ER, and 777F all pretty much have the same engines (GE90-110B and -115B). The creation of the engine performance library and FDE is one of the most time consuming parts of our development process - if we did the 200 and 200ER first, we'd have to model no less than 6 engine types. We think most people will appreciate having the 200LR, 300ER and 777F available relatively soon vs. having to wait for us to model the the menagerie of other engines. The 200LR can do everything the ER can and more anyway...
Nice hull. But can't see anythig "WOOOOW".Add some more (actually a lot) of work and this will look almost as good as Captain Sims 777 :)

There probably should have been a bit more of a disclaimer on the images that were posted - these are alpha version screenshots. The NGX did not look as good as it did at release when it was at this stage of its development either. We're still working on the master textures, the spec/bump/normal maps etc. In no way was this intended to show a release ready airplane. This is why we're always so hesitant to show in-progress shots like this - for all the people who complain about us not doing that, there's a whole other group ready to assume what we're showing them when we do post things like this is a finished product and point out every flaw etc. I've already received several tickets containing the "marked up with red in MS Paint" images that we absolutely hate here.Seriously, relax everyone. Are any of you unhappy with how the NGX turned out? This will be as good if not better at release.

Cannot believe you are getting tickets regarding the "alpha" shots" Ryan. You have to wonder.....is it comic relief week ?

How do people not realize that this isn't even in beta yet? And they complain about how the model looks?Lol! :(

Okay. Give it time. The NGX blows every other airliner away when you consider all aspects, and it has an incredible exterior model and VC. The fact stands, PMDG has the talent, experience, and resources to produce the most comprehensive and accurate 777 for FSX. I own almost every CS product as well, including the 737, and while they have nice models and virtual cockpits, that is about it. Their latest products don't even come close to the old PMDG 747 in authenticity and accuracy of the flight model and systems. It's quite rude to come on a developers forum and post negative comments as opposed to constructive criticism. I have been plenty critical of CS in the past, but I only want them to get better at what they do, and that is why I am participating in the public beta of their 737 so I can give constructive criticism. I certainly don't go on the CS forum and post rude comments.

For me this is especially great news. Thank you for considering the "cool" 777 variants first. :(
Now I can only hope to see some good 'Aerosoft quality' sceneries for Dubai and Doha for the Emirates and Qatar flights :(

Bit of a silly question here:What kind of routes are the 777 usually used on? Is it ever used on transatlantic routes, or only longer ones?

It's used on routes that have the demand for it... Whether they are domestic, international, transatlantic or transcontinental.
