Even im a little ###### at this. What is Flights identity? Warbird game with no cockpit? Is this the direction the team is now going? I just dont see the logic behind the Zero in Flight... Yes yes, Pearl Harbor, but if your going off of that, I would think a P-40 would be more important then a Zero. I think these warbirds is a quick cash grab. Its easy to find these models real cheep, and without a cockpit, wont take long to put in-game. Sice they wont have a cockpit, the "hard core" will avoid them, so you really dont need to test the FM since the people who will buy it only cares if it turns well. I gotta say, its sad to see this.

I'm sure the Zero makes some people happy, but it doesn't interest me. I believe Alaska will include a bush flyers delight, whether it be an Otter, Beaver, a Super Cub with tundra tires or perhaps something else.
Oops, do you mean that you are not interested to the fabulous IL-2 (obviously without cockpit) they are preparing for flying over Alaska? Big%20Grin.gifA.

As much as I have found Flight a magical experience, this actually makes me question the wisdom of having purchased any DLC at all when it is rapidly becoming apparent that the platform was intended from the start to fail.

I gotta see what X-plane and SOH FSX forums are saying about this -Is that the point I wonder? to so alienate what was once the core of MS flight simulations fan base that they can tell themselves at MS Flight - " see - they dont appreciate anything we do" and go on about the "business" of creating a game for their own kids to play and to hell with everyone else...must be nice to have so much of someone elses money to spend on yourselvesI hope Bill Gates or whoever realises whats going on over there and shuts it down before everyone jumps shipPrepar3d has a retail version for 50 bucks and X-Plane is at least trying to maintain a proper flight sim program

If it had a cockpit, it would have been to me what the Mustang was not, and I would have happily looped and dived like a maniac.I guess its wait, and see whats next.

Sure, but following the new philosophy you can hit the enemy planes only with pineapples :-)A.

So sad.. I thought MS Flight was going the Forza Motorsports business model.. Forza can a big as a game as you want, or as real as you want as they have a established an awesome product base with a respected history of 3 sequels and numerous DLC to expand the base into pure awesome racing simulator (or game). Appears I and many others were absolutely wrong. I'm love my `games' as much as the next guy. I can log hours in FSX then jump over and mash buttons in Call Of Duty etc.. But.. I'm completely and utterly failing to understand where this product is going.. I loved it at first, still love the `base' they established but they essentially have a base without an acid.

Bill hasn't been involved with MS for quite some time now. He is a Philanthropist with $98T in the bank and only worries himself about the foundations he manages and the complex problems he's trying to solve.

He really is an amazing man. I dont think enough people know how much he truly gives back to this world.

I agree.....with many : I Love To Fly in the Cockpit......some times not.......Say at lease 80% inside ! I sure did Not think it was going to be a foreign War Plane......what a surprise !

Well, I wasn't old enough to fight in any war, but I must say, I find this choice of aircraft rather offensive. Has the team at Microsoft just discarded the fact that on Dec. 7, 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor with swarms of that very aircraft? One of the Aerocaches is the USS Arizona memorial? So now you can fly around the islands and reminisce about the day the Japanese destroyed Hawaii. I don't find that appropriate and very dishonorable to the American miltary men and women who died there. That's just my opinion. I think the zero was a cool plane, but in this instance, I think its a little insensitive. FLIGHT team, you are really out of touch.

I'm kind of torn here. On one hand, the A5M2 Zero is one of my favorite old warbirds, on the other hand I just can't fly from a third-peson view.Eh, I might grab it if I've got the Xbox Live points to spare.
