I have certainly no interest in any plane without a cockpit, period.Perhaps better things are coming - aircraft wise, with Alaska.
Maybe this is their aircraft of the month, but as AB pointed out if they are going to be released that frequently there is no hope of any real complexity in their offerings.Bryan.

I vaguely recall somebody finding that the Mustang had a non-working cockpit in certain situations........ (Can't quite remember)
You could move the eye point back to where you were in the cockpit. Non-working instruments. Hook

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

They have probably assumed that people downloading the mustang meant people wanted more of the same.
I believe this to be the case. I also believe many of those who bought the Mustang didn't know it was an external model only. Remember, those of us on these boards are not the target demographic for Flight. I would think the sales of the Zero will be far less than that of the Mustang. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

People can be cheap, too. Maybe many simply did not want to pay for more fully modeled planes. In multiplayer, I almost never see the Maul. Mustangs are slightly more common, and Stearmans and Icons are the most prevalent.I betcha the RV-6 is the most popular fully modeled DLC plane, but I have no proof.

Something tells me they'll be offering different varieties of banana trees as the next release. A Cessna 172 / Airport Traffic / ATC are too complex of an addon I'm guessing considering they already have all those.

If it is faster and can get to higher altitudes then the P-51...I am interested. Still lots of awards and personal speed records to beat. Will help pass the time until the Alaska DLCFred.

Just you wait to see what I'm building for FSX, and Flight once the SDK is out.Hint: It looks like this.vV794.jpg?1That's the one I made for FS2004, at long last I am upgrading it to FSX & Flight (one the SDK goes public)Incidentally, this would be a great plane for Flight missions - seats 5, has transcontinental range, FL21 cruise @250kts IAS

That means I can put Flight back to sleep on my computer..I've already bought the Hawaii and Kodiak paper charts, so when Alaska comesout, I'll give it a go.In the meantime.. FSX, BayTower RV7, and Orbx PNW/RMN!

It's quite a bit slower and can't fly as high. it is very maneuverable compared to all its contemporaries.
I mean how many people do you know that enjoy flying externally without a cockpit?
Me. So there is one. There may be more out there.Heck I even spend most of my time in FSX out-of-cockpit. Seriously - why even bother with an external model if you don't look at it?Of course, the True Hard-Core Maxtreme Simmers only ever fly between Schipol & Frankfurt in cargo B737s, at night, in cloud, so I guess all you ever need is the cockpit and an autopilot on/off switch. :Big Grin:

#####, really a Zero....please tell me this is not true, I cannot get onto Flight's web site.....

Biggest lesson here is: vote with your dollars, people. It' s the *only* real way to steer the game development. I'd love to have a nimble and fast plane to play with, but a cockpit is a must for me.And if you haven't, buy the maule. I'm a little guilty here as I haven't yet, seeing as I prefer the challenges to cargo runs, but the more maule sales, the more it pushes them to develop the either way.

Hint: It looks like this.
Awesome! I did White Lightning/Spaceship 1 a few years ago, for FS2004.Here's what I'm working on for FSX (nearly finished:cadet.jpg
