On one hand, if they're going to be doing Basic models of aircraft, I'm glad those are (so far) Warbirds only. My optimism gets me to hope that Deluxe models will tend to be the more useful aircraft.

Oh maybe they will release a cockpit package in 2 months for the P51 and Zero... For a low low price of $19.95.

really. that's it. wait, need to find my fsx.exe now. this is getting boring. surely has no cockpit, hence they can deliver so fast. well, in either case not for me! skipping the second time after the mustand. too sad

I'm a new guy to Flight sims. I don't have MSFS of any variations. I like Flight and am at level 17.I have the Island expansion and the Maule. I didn't buy the P51 because it doesn't have a cockpit view and it doesn't seem to fit this kind of flying game for what little I know. This news about the Zero with no cockpit is terrible. If I'm the intended target group/age whatever, they need to rethink the planes they are offereing. If the Mustang and the Zero had a vc I would probably buy them just out of curiousity but no cockpit= no purchase.I've been real impatient for Alaska but I'm getting nervous now.Harold

Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

If they were planning on adding a bit of air combat then you could understand their thinking, but without virtual cockpits can't see that.I really think Flight is ruderless at the moment, I don't believe they have any kind of business plan to take this product, such as it is forward.
True. I think they pushed to fast just to start getting some $$ in. And then they got concerned about people loosing interest, so they tossed this one in the ring. Big Fail! It will only pee more people off, cementing a decision many of us has entertained for some time now. But maybe that's their intent; get rid of the "vocal minority".

Ah crap... no cockpit? I'm not buying it.This is not a plane a month. This is a toy a month.

HelloI cannot see the problem here, Joshua was very clear from the start that DLC sales would steer the direction of future addons. That was a fair enough stance for the MS Flight team to take and most folk were happy with that.It looks like the target market really liked the Mustang after all.

Was about to buy the Zero...but then you folks found out it has no cockpit, so then I guess i will not buy this one (and I didn't buy the Mustang, either). I'm a HUGE WWII buff, too! Btw, the Zero does have a place in history with Alaska.....you folks remember that Japan attacked Alaska after Pearl Harbor, right?AkutanZero1.jpg

Nooo! In Alaska??? That sealed it for me. What a joke. At least we know now what the target audience is.See ya.
Moving on: Its too bad the new plane has no cockpit. I will probably give it a pass as well.

I think this was probably something in the pipe for the launch, but since it wasn't ready they held it back a bit.

They have probably assumed that people downloading the mustang meant people wanted more of the same. But consider there has hardly been anything else to download in the way of Dlc and the mustang was probably bought for novelty value more than anything else.I mean how many people do you know that enjoy flying externally without a cockpit?Bryan

I have certainly no interest in any plane without a cockpit, period.Perhaps better things are coming - aircraft wise, with Alaska.

I vaguely recall somebody finding that the Mustang had a non-working cockpit in certain situations........ (Can't quite remember)
