July 7, 201213 yr Haha Sounds like it might be LAdamson up there with his superior GPS! :p0504: I love all the other pilots saying 'Good Luck' when they check off. Chris Miller
July 7, 201213 yr My 250 Dollar hand held Garmin with a dodgy PP3 battery is more accurate than your 3 Billion Dollar radar controlled quadruple-redundant ATC display system. :LMAO: Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
July 8, 201213 yr Author The controller was very patient with the old fogey. July 8, 201213 yr Commercial Member Scary there is people like that up there. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
July 8, 201213 yr She handled that one really well. :LMAO: Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
July 8, 201213 yr Scary there is people like that up there. As vicious as the FAA has been lately with ATC violations I'm sure this guy got a very nasty letter from the folks in Oklahoma City.... Maybe even a suspension notice. The days of the touchy feely please dont do that again FAA are long gone. A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. - Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
July 8, 201213 yr The days of the touchy feely please dont do that again FAA are long gone. Maybe those days are over, but the pilot saying "Hey, don't bother me" crosses the line. Honest mistakes are honest mistakes. Being rude and not following radio protocol on a busy freq SHOULD result in some consequences. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma

Actually Congress just passed the "Pilots Bill of Rights" to stem some of the supposed heavy handedness of the FAA! http://avstop.com/july_2012/senator_jim_inhofe_finally_gets_his_way_with_pilots_bill_of_rights.htm Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d

July 8, 201213 yr People comment on how accurate my instruments and GPS are. I don't think I've ever heard someone say, "That's a nice accurate GPS you've got there" in my entire life! This guy is a hoot. Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
July 8, 201213 yr "Pilots Bill of Rights" sounds like an oxymoron....I always considered flying an airplane to be a privilege and not a right. Same goes with driving a car. This is the first I've heard of this one and it seems odd to me. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
July 8, 201213 yr WOW  .. At any rate... I want to marry her.. along with the young lady from the Columbia video. :Big Grin: As far as the bill of rights... reading thought it, I think it's a good law. It doesn't prohibit the FAA/NTSB from doing their jobs, nor does it give pilots a get out of jail free card. It simply offers pilots a chance to be informed of FAA action against them, and why. Along with improvements in medical and NOTEM requirements. It's all good.
July 8, 201213 yr A know-it-all old man. Deal with them all the time at the FBO. ^_^ ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
