August 2, 201213 yr Not quite. Where is the RXP Sandel, TAW and Weather Radar? Weather Radar?... ...! I just look up at the sky, wet my index finger and hold it up, and examine my trusty piece of Sea-weed, before wheeling my Cessna 150 out of the Hangar... B) ...! Paul...Cloud Watcher... ...!
August 2, 201213 yr This is terrific news! Another Fs9 plane. I'd imagine several of their gauges are FSX only, so we'll probably not get the weather radar, but I can totally live with that! And it's safe to assume there will be no 2d panels from Carenado; let's stop bringing it up.

I hope these simmers upgrade one day to see the beauty in sims from a 3D Cockpit.
August 2, 201213 yr I think the 2D simmers are the people with low end pc specs that can't run fs9 in VC mode with smooth fps Not necessarily or at least not all. I was a 2D simmer since the earliest PC sims until 2010. Even though I had TrackIR. I just loved the comfort of panel stability and gauges readability. Bringing up resizeable 2D subpanels was also very comfortable. Especially that I am flying using a simple self-made home cockpit and have stuff like AP, radios, throttles, levers, etc independent from mouse clicking. The breakthrough for me came with iFly 737 where the VC was so beautiful that I found myself spending more and more time enjoying the virtual 3D world. When I switched to flying AirSimmer last year, I forgot what the 2D panel is. However there are still some incredible addons which are doomed by not having a VC. I mean Digital Aviation Fokker which is one of my all time's favourites. I miss it a lot and plan having some flights soon, which will mean siting in front of the 2D bitmaps again. So not everything is about performance! Another example is I am still FS9 though some people thought I would go FSX just because I got a good rig some moths ago.

I use 2D panels in heavies because I prefer it ......nowt to do with can I afford a top end rig....because I can. I also have Track IR5. My FS Videos
August 2, 201213 yr I can hardly imagine to fly a 3-crew aircraft from a 3D panel. I will stay with 2D - even since my postman brought my an Athlon II X2 with 3,2 GHz today. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
August 4, 201213 yr anyone try the Bernt Stolle FDE updates for this or have they already been built in?
August 4, 201213 yr Just purchased this aircraft last week - fantastic! I also usually prefer 2D panels but this VC is excellent and I haven't missed my 2D panel option. My only complaint is not having the option to have a panel without 3D knobs (FSX does). You can add RXP gauges but the 3D knobs bleed through. Not ideal but still workable. Don't know if carenado is planning to release that option later or not.
