I just thought I would post a topic that has something different. Can you tell what it is? If you can't, you had better run real quick and get your eyes checked.

Now I am pretty sure that with all the other changes made over the last 4 years or so, NO ONE is going to want this one, right?

Looks good Tom but produces a problem when you quote someone. The quote box overlaps the watermark. (just what I'm calling it :) )

That's okay. At least the first post shows it and not all posts and quote will cover it. It can be repositioned as well.

Good stuff I like it though.. Adds some personal style to a post but the bonus is it isn't intrusive at all.

If we were to implement this change, it is an image that you can add to your profile and you have many opitions on how to place it. CENTER CENTER, LEFT HIGH, RIGHT LOW, etc. You can also set your message's background color. Anyway, just something we're thinking about.

Looks interesting!!

The particular one you have as an example, makes it a little bit hard to read the text across the middle of the image...

I'm wondering whether more complex, or more opaque images might be even worse?

Now I am pretty sure that with all the other changes made over the last 4 years or so, NO ONE is going to want this one, right?

I don't know about others, but frankly, to me the interest is...hmmm, let's say "very low".

Sorry for the lack of enthusiasm but that's the way I feel.

PS (edit) : unless this allows to share information without attaching a file? But still, text readeability and clarity should be the first priorities. Some posters (including myself ) already have a hard time making simple sentences so, for me, anything that can lessen readability (or use up bandwidh) is not welcome.

I like it a lot, and I even like the airplane a lot! Bring it on! Some will probably complain, but they don't have to use the feature.

Best regards.

Hello

Well that will certainly make reading the forums even more difficult.

If everyone starts using these watermarks then I feel that with my deteriorating eyesight I will no longer be able to comfortably read the forums.

Even that one simple example makes the text harder to read.

but they don't have to use the feature.

Hello

Unless there is an option in our settings to view posts without obtrusive pictures obliterating the message we will have no choice but to use it.

Sometimes less is more

Tom, I've enoyed most of the changes made, and have complimented on some. But not this one. For me, your original post was FAR more difficult to read.

Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work!

I've learned I have my contrast too high, which washes out the image. Turning it down, it looks really good!!! For those that think it blocks text, you can try turning up your contrast (Which will gradually make the image more transparent until you reach a level that you like and can read the text.

Thanks

Tom
