August 16, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hah, I can never understand how Finland / its cities are always so high on this list, Helsinki on high places... Sure we have good healthcare, education, low pollution etc, however also high depression and even suicide rates, long cold & dark winter, and more random violence than in most other European countries no matter what statistics say although organized crime isn't really a problem here. Sure its pretty practical and clean city to live in, but other than that it is boring and bland place.
August 16, 201213 yr Theyve obviously never spent a winter in a northern Canadian city...close to -50 for a week ain't fun. And only 5 hours of sunlight. And it's not like I even live way up in the arctic :( I live north compared to most I guess but it's not like we're in the Yukon lol. It does seem these studies usually find the Scandinavian countries to be happy, FSCamp, even though you have what I just described above too. But if the people are happy that's all the study sees I guess. New Zealand and Australia make sense :) Lee Sent using Tapatalk Theyve obviously never spent a winter in a northern Canadian city...close to -50 for a week ain't fun. And only 5 hours of sunlight. True Dat....Always a place in my heart for the USA as I do love it there. Unfortunately for the USA it is spreading itself out way too thin at the moment that it doesn't appear in the top ten (or anywhere close). In the USA their are absolutely some very best places in the world to be (that are very far and few between).....however for the most part it doesn't average out. I wouldn't want to live in Detroit or Baltimore right now... USA is far from a complete package. Cheers Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

Yeah, Sweden, Norway and Denmark seem to have a lot lower depression rates compared to Finland, I have no idea why is that as at least Norway and Sweden mostly have just as cold winters and all.

I did do a CouchSurfing.Com with a girl from Finland not long ago for what was supposed to be a few days.....Turned out to be a few weeks. Nothing sexual at all, only because our converstions just continued on. I won't bring it up at the moment but just suggest to others the current education standards are not what it used to be around the world. Primary Education is up and coming in some countries and failing in other places... Cheers Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
August 16, 201213 yr " Unfortunately for the USA it is spreading itself out way too thin at the moment that it doesn't appear in the top ten (or anywhere close). " Yes, we don't make the political correct lists. But we have to build walls to keep other folks out, and almost nobody ever emigrates out of here. Europe is nice to visit. But their laws are too restrictive and way too many social programs. We prefer to keep government off our backs and out of our hair. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. August 16, 201213 yr Each country has its strengths. Esp if u call it home. Yes Matt, Welly has some amazing cafes. Welly is like a smaller, hipper Melbourne, I could live there very easily. We too caused quite a few Starchucks to close. Fielder- govt off your backs? CIA, rendition, wars. I don't call that little government! And those crazy gun laws. Id love to visit the US, but I wouldn't feel safe. Simmo W, Melbourne, Ozhttp://www.youtube.com/user/id5556
August 16, 201213 yr SF is pretty great...the country is burning up this year and it's 64 degees here everyday. But I can drive 20 minutes to the East Bay and be in 95 degree weather for the day! Problem is a studio apartment here is $400,000...rent control allows me to spend that extra $$$ every month on FSX!
