As a quick check ...My TrackIr is ok in FSX.

I did the line #2 fix but trackIr5 is not working for me .. no "blue" LED when P3D starts up.

I dont a blue LED in fsx or any other game with tir, if you are using resource hacker make sure you press the compile button and then save it or it wont work.

Hmmmm, veeeery interesting! I'm all over it now.

Word Not Allowed, I too dumped this because of the micro-stutters. Let us all know if that still exists.

My TrackIr hardware has a green LED on top. It comes on when TrackIr is started. TrackIR can be set up now on your Windows screen.

Then I start FSX.

After FSX starts, the bottom blue LED comes ON. This means it is working in FSX.

If I do the same in P3D the blue LED does not come on and Trackir does not work.

I did this:

"using resource hacker make sure you press the compile button and then save it or it wont work."

I went back and checked and the changes were there.

I tried changing just line 2 then later line 2 and 3.

I am not using EZCA .. can that be the problem?

I did post there, hope they include it, it's very useful.

Yep, a one stop setup would be nice.

In the meantime, here's a decent workaround...

Get your flight setup how you want it, then save the flight. You can then open the flight file directly from the folder, using P3D as the program to run it when asked (or set it up in the folder options).

I have a file for each airport that I normally use, and usually only have to reload the aircraft.

I did that. For now it'll do :P

In another subject, i tried setting P3D to LOD9.0, loaded the heaviest (resource-wise) aircraft i have, set the departure from the supremely heavy EGLC scenery from UK2000 and "walked" around London with all 4 airports i have for it trying to make it crash with some OOM error. I failed - This is actually good :)

Hi,

I'm strictly an airline pilot, I'm out of different airports just about every flight, what you suggest is not worth the trouble other than setting up a couple that depart from the hub.

Just throwing out ideas until LH adds the feature (fingers crossed).

Really ????????

Yes, and this is my test PC with 4GB of RAM. Load times are crazy with 9.0 though, and it's on an SSD

I have FSX and P3D (ver 1.4.xxx) on the same PC.

Should I be able to get TrackIr5 working on both FSX and P3D?

I must say I am impressed overall. I am using Word Not Allowed's settings and running the latest 300 series nvidia drivers. I am using the BP=0 as I did get some micro-stutters but they are gone now. I have PNW linked and running all scenery detail max with an LOD radius of 5.5, which I could not comfortably do in FSX which I keep at 4.5. I am using the Maule, so I have not tested a more complex aircraft but will do that soon. Default traffic at 50 and 75. The road traffic introduced some stutters even at low levels i.e. 8-12. I am really impressed with the fog layer and visibility coding. They did a very nice job with this from what I have seen so far. The textures are crystal clear and the colors and clarity is nicely done. I am getting an ai_player.dll crash upon closing P3D, but have flown now for over an hour around KSEA with no issues whatsoever. I am not getting near the autogen popup that I see with FSX which is a big plus IMO. My hat comes off to the programmers and all involved. So far with 1.4 for an hour or so of flying with pretty much everything maxed, it is a huge improvement over 1.3.

I can help with the ai_player.dll, this is a very rare addon bug that is caused by the orbx version of KSEA ( other non orbx addon airports can have this issue as well ). On the orbx support fourms you will find a link to an old version of KSEA which should fix the crash for you

That should be the thread you need with the link to the sp4a version of ksea

. I am using the BP=0

I too, after further trials and really loading it up and getting some performance issues, had to apply the bufferpools 0 tweaks. I also set my affinitymask to 14. Just because I reckon.
