June 17, 201312 yr I always use and it works fine for me, leave a couple of samples. [PICS] Wow, those look really good. Mark
June 26, 201312 yr I just found out about the new kb removing tip that may fix my damn d3d11.dll ctd when using dx10 w/sfx. I reported this issue like a month ago and there wasn't a solution posted back then. Looks like after a while more people start to report it and a solution was finally found! * fingers crossed * Thanks guys! As a small contribution... My latest fsx updates pack (in the sig) will be updated soon with new files so be sure to check it out.
June 26, 201312 yr Guys, every time I change a view in VC of PMDG's 737 (with Opus live camera) the cockpit blinks. What an unfortunate find. I'm so used already to SweetFX, that I can't imagine flying FSX without it, the fsx world becomes so dull. Do you know if there's a cure to this problem? (My other planes are OK with SweetFX). Is it due to the extremely high res cockpit textures in PMDG737 or something else? Thanks, Dirk. PS: Forgot to add this happens at night mostly, but also visible in the day light. In full window mode only, no problem in windowed mode. Hmmm, vertical synchronization problem, 1/2 refresh rate etc?
June 26, 201312 yr Which SweetFX setting makes the night darker? Sent from Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Eric
June 27, 201312 yr Uninstalling that dreaded KB2670838 officially fixed my d3d11.dll error! YAY! Btw! When you uninstall this KB, make sure you RESTART as soon as it prompts you to! If you don't, the KB might not be removed! I was posting earlier that I had a terrain.dll appcrash.. well it happened with the KB still in the system (I uninstalled it, but didn't restart as soon as it prompted!). Later, I noticed the KB was still there and only then I removed it, restarted (right away) and it was finally gone! My d3d11.dll CTD seems to be gone after a long session involving with constant changing of aircrafts, weather and time of the day! I was also refreshing sfx many times and it proved stable! So far so good, I just hope it keeps this way! However, I'm still annoyed with dx10... no tool tips @ full screen.. tried the autokey solution but it's jerky (got annoyed with it after 5 minutes) and some objects in scenery seem to shimmer a bit.. actually, it's something I'd live with but the tool tips is annoying. Anyone who has somewhat similar spec should download the june 2013 updates from my sig and try. It contains 2 cfgs, one for dx9 and one for dx10. You'll have to edit in your graphics card display line, change the res should the need arise and apply either dx9 or dx10 sweetfx preset. Enjoy!
June 27, 201312 yr ADI good luck but in my KB2670838 does not help, just haven't had the time to mess with it - great input thanks for the updates. Rich Sennett
June 27, 201312 yr To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure dx10 is worth bothering that much. At least not until more issues are fixed. Steve is working on it.. hopefully we get surprised with another dx10 update that will finally make the move worthwhile. If you still get CTD w/dx10, then it must be something in the CFG. Looking at your spec, you shouldn't have any problems. Try my CFG.
June 27, 201312 yr ADI I do not use dx10 as my home base is KBOS and is not dx10 compatible dx10 is out buddy Rich Sennett

I'm trying the Opus demo and get this blink too when going from VC view to VC view also. Outside view cameras I don't see this happening so I don't think its SweetFX.

Outside view cameras I don't see this happening so I don't think its SweetFX. Bumpy, everything is possible, but there's no blinking when I turn off SweetFX with ScrollLock. However there is a possibility that switching views with OpusFSX while SweetFX is on causes this serious blinking. I'll have to check with EZDOK. Dirk.
June 27, 201312 yr Dirk When I was using SweetFX I had the same blinking you mention. What software did you use to change views in VC? What did you end up with? Thanks, Dirk.
June 27, 201312 yr I leave my setting, it looks great at night too, could see the stars and may have I dont know if its just me or your sweetfx setting are so stable that it doesn't cause fsx to vanish when selecting menu option. So earlier today i did 4 hour flight. When it came creating another flight plan i was expecting fsx to crash , just only this time left the effect on when selecting flight plan in the menu option. Strange as it sound fsx did not crash . I am also using shade combine with sweetfx. Also running rivatuner an Precision X in the background while using fsx.
