I think that he is complaining that the developers include all the dust and finger prints. I for one agree with him. I can't stand people that touch screens and leave finger prints.

 

I totally agree with him about the clean glass. I want my cockpit in pristine condition. I wish we'd have the option to choose between clean and worn.

I chose to see the swear words? Come on its obvious when you first look at it. I experience enough cussing and swearing every day in the city. Don't think its funny or amusing it all or why we have to see it in the forums.

 

The last guy got a 14-day ban for using the F-bomb a couple posts down. So somebody does the same thing and he should be treated differently just because he is vet?

 

I agree fully on the swearing with you sir. BUT, in the flightsim forums we barely see it, and its not a big deal. See it like that one bloke in the hangar cursing a little bit.

At daily life, and on the street it is a difference, and I agree every day in the city its certainly get out of control !

Same here, if I just paid for a brand new 777 from (Boeing) PMDG I want a pristine new looking aircraft and not something that looks 10 - 15 years old. I agree there should be an option to choose between new and old. It would not be that hard to provide two sets of textures.

Steve, a first time poster may be unaware of the rules regarding swearing. The fact that it's disguised as a spoonerism is irrelevant. I could have use the 'Report' option but didn't because he's a first time poster.

Queer means strange, weird, different etc. About a million things that have nothing to do with sexual orientation, especially in that example. The rest if what you said was spot on.

Someone told me this was a chilled forum, I guess they were right LOL.

My Gosh!! Cpt. McGill I respect your real jet piloting and appreciate your service to our country, but if those smudges were not on the glass of the NGX (you must have missed the potato chip crumbs on the pedestal), we would have tons of threads in the PMDG forum, complaining that the cockpit looked too clean and sanitary. You just can't make everyone happy.

My wife calls me "Messy Marvin", so I feel right at home in the NGX cockpit :Cuppa:

For me the wear in the cockpit is pretty realistic but as far as the screens go I've never seen one quiet as dirty as NGX in the real planes. They do accumulate prints and dust but they are also frequently cleaned so they seldom get really filthy. In the wrong lighting the grime can start to obscure information in NGX.

Has any of you guys seen that picture or video, i cant remember which,of the captain who is hanging out of the side window of the jet cleaning the outside of the front windshield?

That is something i would do.

I agree. This thread is locked and the OP is suspended for 30 days. Next time anything remotely like this will result in a permanent ban.
