October 11, 201312 yr There was definitely something in a recent update that aggravated the problem. I do have the registered FSUIPC, so I'll use that if I must.
October 11, 201312 yr As has been said somewhere in this megathread, it should work okay without FSUIPC if you do not click on another window causing FSX to lose focus. Alternatively use full screen. Certainly that is the case for me. Regards Howard H D Isaacs
October 13, 201312 yr I really think, the only real work around for us WIN 8 users is to use FSUIPC (Payware) with FSX. Nah I did all recommendations in this post and FSUIPC DOESN'T fix the problem!! I have the same issues with/without FSUICP
October 13, 201312 yr Well, sorry to hear that. I haven't had any problems since using FSUIPC. Some one else had told me a few months ago about using FSUIPC, that's why I started using it. I just finished another 4 hour flight, about 2 minutes ago, was switching back and forth from Plan-G, Internet, MS Outlook to check my email, and not one disconnect. Just a wild shot....set your computer back to factory settings, or to back as if it were new, reinstall everything, and try that. I know it takes along time to do it, but it has worked for me in the past. I reset my computer back to factory default about every four to five months anyways. Hope you get it figured out. October 14, 201312 yr I've been using that German app called Don't Lose Your Stick and it's all fine for me, but the throttle calibration is a bit weird. Does anyone know how to set it so that it doesn't go into reverse thrust when i move my throttles back? Kevin Tao

Rod Hi Rod Thanks for your suggestions Well back my computer to factory will be a pain because I have a lot of stuffs :( Which airplane are you using? When I use the PMDG 737 - 800 I have no issues with the control I can shiwch the screen for check the aiport cards or check something in the internet or whatever and everything is fine, but when I use the 747-400 and I swithc to window mode and check the cards or check the flight sim commander Inmediatly the joyestick start the weird movements I mean is not totally disconnected just the joysticks start weird movements and I can't fly because the Rudder moves for 1 second and after that is back to the center, it doesn't matter if I'm moving the joystick.... This is start to be very frustated Today I wanted to buy the 777 PMDG but if my problem with 747 is not fixed I think that I should stop the puschase until my joystick works, I don't want to have the same problem with 777 and spend 90 USD for nothing ... Thanks Mauricio
October 16, 201312 yr Hi Mauricio... Yeah, it is a pain when setting the computer back to factory settings. I fly using the PMDG 737NGX, iFly 737, A2A Cessna 172 Trainer, and a lot of Carenado aircraft. Good luck to you as I know it's frustrating. Rod Rod Beck
October 19, 201312 yr By the way since some people said that it was an issue with DX9, will changing the settings to DX10 preview possibly fix it? I'll try it out soon and report back. Kevin Tao

October 19, 201312 yr does it still happen with windows 8.1 that got released two days ago? Verzonden vanaf mijn GT-I9300 met behulp van Tapatalk Arjen Vandervelde
October 20, 201312 yr Yes You have got to be kidding me. I've just lost all my faith into Microsoft. If it has not been fixed in Windows 8.1 RTM then it's never going to be fixed. Great, that's FSX's death knell, as I am not planning to stay with Windows 7 for too much longer because I use this PC for other things as well. At some point, these things will lose compatibility with Windows 7 or will no longer be updated. Arjen Vandervelde
October 20, 201312 yr My Saitek MultiPanel LCD screen no longer works after updating to 8.1. All of the buttons do work fine, but the screen remains blank. Has anyone else had this issue? I've tried the usual solutions to try to fix it (unplug and regplug the USB, switch to different USB, suspend windows sleep mode, etc.). I'm using SPAD drivers.
October 20, 201312 yr Commercial Member The biggest issue with 8.1 at this point is compatible drivers. I can't load it until a 8.1 wireless driver comes available. Cheers jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
