January 22, 201313 yr Commercial Member Some of you know I'm a musician. (I've played guitar since I was 9 years old) Guitar music is often written with something called "tab", short for tablature. It's a representation of the strings of the guitar as staff lines with numbers and symbols on them that indicate the fret positions to place your fingers at and techniques to perform like slides, bends, vibrato etc. It usually appears below the standard music notation staff. I've run a company for almost 15 years that makes professional guitar tab books for popular bands and publishers. I make "tabs" and that's where my Tabs handle comes from. Here's an example of what it looks like from an official book I authored for a band. Bonus points if anyone can name the song - I'd be impressed! Therefore it will annoy me for as long as it takes someone to get the answer! Karl Brooker
