Guys.... I'm about to go insane! The silence has been going on for 2 months since an update and have a feeling it is near release. I'm starting to develop psychological cravings for the 777, I can't sleep at night, focus on anything without thinking of the 777 and the list goes on and on......

I think the majority of us are past updates and previews - we'd rather just get the aircraft. Since they're not making any references to beta, they can't exactly give us an update on how it's going. Because if they're finished with Development, then that means they're in testing. So it makes sense for them to not say nothing at all.

 

Be thankful you weren't here after Rob posted the first exterior preview named "Let the previews begin" and not getting anything until 8 months later. There's actually only been two proper previews - the ones last month were just quick dirty captures for Tony's fundraising event. Normally Rob would have explained something about the photos - you only knew what he was doing in the aeroplane at the time when he took them if you were in the live stream chat; which was testing the Hydraulic system. Either way it was brilliant to see the flight deck finished - last we saw it the aircraft was only half complete.

 

Read the manuals with a Justplanes 777 DVD in the background and chill! B) Before you know it you'll be over the North Pole praying for the "T/D" to pop up on the ND :lol:

I see the silence as a good thing. It means they are hard at work bringing the release date closer and closer with every bit they do!

I can't remember if they ever announced something was in beta. Usually we get a nice teaser out of Rob and then shortly after a release. I too am excited over the 777 and would love some eye candy, but would rather have a finished product that works a bit better than Rob posting beauty shots.

The NGX beta was announced and the beta testers were allowed to post their own previews. This is a little different. I hope they did a covert beta release to the testers.

Like Luke said, I'm over wanting to see previews.

If we start seeing previews now then they could be doing that to buy more time without these forums getting NGX'd (my new term for the uncivility and constant demand for previews leading up to that release).

We would be a lot further off then what most of us want to believe.

If this is their new tactic for releases then it'd say it's working.

I remember Ryan locking topics Left Right & Center and Admins dishing out official warning to members loosing their cool. :lol: I think so far it seems very civilized but who knows, PMDG could be anywhere in the development spectrum so who knows this might end up getting out of hand and becoming another angry monster :LMAO:

That's probably why they're not bothering to say anything before release and no announcing beta ha! No point in causing all that - not like PMDG need to build people up for it by showing pictures & videos. People now know what to expect after the NGX ^_^ I think it'd be worse having to hear and see about it every couple of days :lol:

I don't want another release the "quality" of an 'extended european fly-by-wire A/C' or a 'Sim Captain's interpretation of a 777'.

 

And PMDG wouldn't step into that kind of trap anyway. So let's wait and enjoy the planes we have in our hangars NOW ...

I don't care for pictures and a long updates, just more interaction from the staff at pmdg. Just little goodies like, we finished modelling the packs today etc. etc.

I once had a rw wife and a flightsim ... Today it's a rw flightsim only and my (ex-)wife is purely imagination anymore!
