Easy for you too say since you already have it and get it for free :P

hah - yeah, "free."

I can't exactly call what I've been doing all out work, but it's not like I've been joyriding this thing.  To test some of the issues, or validate the fixes, you have to recreate certain steps exactly to the process.  It's not much like the flying you're used to, and it takes a decent amount of time.

...so, like I said, I'm not gonna complain, but the idea that we're just sitting here enjoying ourselves couldn't be further from the truth.

How many hours a day do you spend flying her (as a beta tester)?

Anyone thinking the Beta Team are only enjoying playing with the T7 says more about themselves than the team.  Sad individuals with nothing better to do than ask the same old "when will it be released question" again and again.  Get a life people.

Depends on the day.  Some days I spend a few hours pressing around the deck and don't even get off of the ground.  Other days, I don't even set the aircraft up.  I just throw it in the air carelessly (no flaps, just raw power, and no FMC work) and then proceed to subject the poor plane to the worst failures one could think up to test various items.  Then as soon as that's done, I just exit out and write my reports (which put some of my forum posts to shame).

Other days - depending on the squawk list - I can actually get a flight in, testing at cruise or in various portions of flight (which requires me to look at the list and divide it up into which segment of flight I need to be paying attention, which can take time), and in some cases, additional testing at the end of the flight.

It's all dependent on my otherwise chaotic schedule, so yeah...clear as mud?  Haha...

haha - thanks Bill.  I'm not too bothered by it.  I can see how it looks that way from the other side.  I just felt like addressing it to head it off from others.  I'm in here simply to knock down this idea that it's super far away, which probably looks like an "easy for you to say thing," I get that.  I think people will be rather surprised, however.

I still think it'll be out this month. Maybe an announcement tomorrow night stating that it'll be released Friday or Saturday night (U.S Time)

If not, then it won't bother me. I love flying my MD-11 and B744.

i can only agree as a beta tester my self for other companys it´s hard work and at the end of the day, i often stop useing the add-ons as you know the stuff in side out( i have only been in to airport stuff and know that testing a plane is a hole different storry but in key facts)

Best regards Lars N.
