April 4, 201313 yr Jaw on ground. Thats the best instructional video by presentation and knowledge ever. How long till you got the proficiency? No co pilot available? you wouldn't have time for a coffee even, maybe its time for bryan york to step up .. ZORAN
April 4, 201313 yr What a fantastic video. Well done Mark. A benchmark.. Phil Mosley - Rotation Films http://youtube.com/rotationfsx @RotationFilms
April 4, 201313 yr Thanks for the nice comments. It probably took me a year or so to get proficient when I started on the older SSTSIM product. Having said that I did not fly it that much in the beginning but was lucky to have some help from a Paul Haworth who was a beta tester at the time. It also helped a lot watching the ITVV videos. April 4, 201313 yr Great video. I am a long time user of Concorde in FS9 , made by the same people (SSTSIM). Very impressed with your attention to detail, although i could say you can turn off the de-air pump switch in tank 10 once you are pumping fuel aft from it...but that is really nitpicking !! Best video I have seen about ANY plane in flightsim world. Peter Peter Schluter
April 4, 201313 yr Thanks. Yes a few mistakes on there. I am working on my Fuel Panel video now so paying extra attention to the details and will have that properly set!! Mark CYYZ
April 4, 201313 yr I suggest you to make familiarization video first with explaining all switches at fuel panel, as it really feels natural what to do once you understand background of system. Unfortunately, I cannot upload any useful videoclip with my 512Mb/s upload speed. Lj. April 4, 201313 yr I've never got it to work properly , its supposed to communicate with its own software sure outside of fsx , & I have installed this on 2 different pc & got exact same problem , it also doesn't like my site pro rudder peddles , I can't get the brakes off , I would live to get my teeth into this aircraft it is amazing but I sadly gave up a long time ago , its also one of the hardest fps hittters I have got. <p> Paul Sleight
April 4, 201313 yr It's definitely one of the best add-ons I have had. It's a full time job when flying, even with the VFE, but without the VFE, you will be working so fast . If you like a full time immersion flight, and not one that you sit back and relax, get the acft. When I got my new PC with Win7 64 bit in December last year, I tried to install it twice. Unfortunately without success. It caused already problems during installation. And thereafter, my system became unstable, and I had many problems with getting everything working again. I don't like addons that install Direct X and other system components on my stable system without asking. I searched for help on their forum, but I gave up quite quickly. I don't want to take any risks, reinstalling all the software on a new system isn't too much fun, and right now everything is running nicely and flawlessly. But I remember, that doing the first successful transatlantic Mach 2 flight, was really a great experience!
April 5, 201313 yr Too bad you had problems installing it. I have it installed on Windows 7, 64bit with no problems....except the INS keyboard override does not work in Win 7. Mark CYYZ

I couldn't get the brakes to fully release either, which is something I had never experienced before. A bit of searching revealed that it doesn't like it when your toebrake sensitivity is less than 100% or if there are any null zones, a change I had recently made. I put those back to full sensitivity, and the problem goes away. At one time, I used to feel reasonably comfortable with this plane, but so much time has passed, to relearn it would be to start completely from the beginning. I had forgotten how complex this airplane is compared to almost everything else.
April 5, 201313 yr Well, my next buy for P3D!!! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
April 5, 201313 yr Hmm I'm really debating whether to buy this. I had a pretty detailed Concorde for FS9 a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Don't remember a thing of the systems though and feel overwhelmed with trying to learn it again. Maybe if I feel adventurous I will buy it this weekend and learn to fly.
