How do I load this aircraft where everything is running.

Currently even if I load another GA aircraft with its engine running and then I load this Q400. The engine has not started.

Any ideas? I don't want to go through the start up procedue

The autopilot in most aircraft never ever touches the aileron or rudder trim. This includes Boeings and Airbuses, and they only touch the pitch trim (aka the Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer)

A turboprop is different from a jet as props generate a large asymmetric blade effect (or P-factor) and slipstream, so they tend to get "out of shape" easily and require a bit more rudder trim than jets, which can encounter a different problem called "Thermal Rudder Drift" during cruise. (There's a recent thread on pprune talking about it)

Thanks. But I still find it weird that a modern autopilot would be incapable of compensating for such things as thermal rudder drift.

I'm not disputing it, just find it surprising given todays technology.

Would love to get that far... Nothing like having to go to an EU facing VPN to get anything resembling decent download speeds. ~21k/sec, but ~600k/sec on the EU VPN.

For those that cannot find the situation flight of the tutorial (CYZD-CYUL_tutorial): you have to copy the three files that are in the Majestic´s Dash folder in

...FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\mjc7q400\doc\sample_flight\Situation

to (for Windows7)

(username)\ documents\Flight Simulator X Files\

This is an outstanding release! Absolutely awesome - hats off to the developers!

Hi,

We use Amazon cloud servers so there shouldn't be any download problems. I just tried and got 1.3Mb a second. If you are using Crome then try switching to another browsers as this is known to have issues with Amazon servers. Also, you might be being throttled by your ISP

Come on guys.,.we should be able to load the aircraft in its ready state.

Anyone knows how?

Just amazing, I spent 2 hours testing the plane, I have no experience on dash 8 but very not really dificult to operate the systems, engine start etc. I will have to take more time learning the fms. Anyone knows how to insert sids on it? The first plane to take over the ngx in my opinion. Incredible fde. Congratulations to magestic, they have done the best plane in the history of flight simulator.

Ok, has anyone given this a try using FSUIPC to assign axes, sending them direct to FSX? Or do I need to actually assign an axis in FSX? I haven't actually assigned any joystick in FSX at this point and would love to do it through FSUIPC if possible.

I have done a number of flights this morning,

All I can say is, the giants of companies like PMDG have A LOT to learn from this one, [tiller / rudder system is superb] and has anyone noticed how the performance is exceptional?? The best complex add on for fps I have ever ever been in

Thanks for the reply. Problem is not on my end. Using firefox/chrome/IE all yield same results. ~2.2MB down on other large files I know are hosted on AWS (which rules out an ISP throttling issue). ~600kb down with the DASH from Just Flight if I use an EU facing VPN. No VPN, ~18.7kb down.

When I click on the download link in the e-mail, I'm being sent to a server in the UK. Problem seems to be a significant slowdown on the transatlantic hop. Don't really care anymore, as I was able to download it via the EU VPN. Just wanted to let you know there may be an issue with your hosting.
