Agreed, PMDG should integrate the flight dynamic system the MJ Dash 8 has into their aircraft, feels very realistic.

WWWOW!!  What an aircraft simulation!

I haven't even looked at the manual yet, but filled in the FMS, took off and flew the flight plan from what I know about the Q300.

Hand flying this Q400 feels like you are hand flying a Q400.

The sound is outstanding, I won't be messing with it.

I love the terrain mapping.

The only thing that I am not to pleased with is the fact that it uses the default door opening interface, rather than giving you an option in the FMS to open the different doors. That kind of stinks. I hate the default way of opening doors.  I can never get it right.  You would think that in a simulation like this, they would have put a door interface within the FMS, like they did for pushback. 

Outside of that small glitch, this aircraft is beyond outstanding.

I know you guys keep saying its great on the fps, but my computer is pretty borderline. How does it compare to the default 737? The NGX? CS707? Other addons?

After I selected the aircraft CTD and fatal error followed, there is no way to connect support and on top of this I tried to reinstalled several times and now my installations are exhausted, this is frustrating please help.

We use Amazon cloud servers so there shouldn't be any download problems. I just tried and got 1.3Mb a second. If you are using Crome then try switching to another browsers as this is known to have issues with Amazon servers. Also, you might be being throttled by your ISP

The tiller is not conected to the rudder, is conected directly to the control wheel, nice idea. The fps are much greater than the ngx in my computer and 1000 miles away from any cs product.

first of all congratulations to this fantastic piece of software!

 

Does anyone else have to (strange) problem, that the ALT-Sel Knob is not really working?

When trying to dial in an altitude, it always jumps down to Zero and/or current altitude, making it impossible to select an altitude.

 

I'm running Win8 x64.

Daniel, I was really worried about the FPS as my system is borderline too and in videos and screenshot's it looked a killer. I run the NGX at an average of 15fps and In the Q400 I was getting 20-29 (locked at 30) at ORBX Launceston. So I am VERY happy with the performance!

 

Edit: I surprisingly managed to maintain performance when I added lot's of cloud and rain!

To the development team: Bravo! This is truly a masterpiece, I can't believe the FPS I'm getting from it either.

 

To my other addon aircraft: It's nothing personal, but I won't be able to spend any time with you for a while, I'll be flying Q400's. I'll fly you again someday, just not for a little while

I've just purchased this but wont be installing until tomorrow. I had a fiver discount too which was a pleasant surprise. Big thanks to Just Flight.

With the NGX and now this I don't think I'll bother with the 777 until later in the year. Nice to have 2 completely different types of aircraft to keep busy with. This will be replacing my JS41. Just need the real air 172 and those 3 will be only aircraft I will be flying

 

I second the door control from the fmc, maybe add in first update?
